Are you guys having fun this season?

Not really, hate fighting the Act bosses which crappy gear. Fire boss in act 3 is annoying, got instant killed from the fire that is meant to follow you but instead it insta killed me and i was moving. Act 2 final boss is annoying. Not looking forward to Venom lady, it's that they're not even that hard. Low damage and the fight drags on i lose focus after fighting a boss for 10mins.
BOSS FIGHTS GO ON TOO DAMN LONG = NOT FUN

Also so much damn rolling leaves hardly any time to throw out attacks, it's poor game design and it might as well be a dodge simulator.

I'm following guides on builds etc but still i either find them really not fun to play. or the damage is low due to crappy gear / res etc

I tried ED/C on Lich but the aiming on controller sucked out all the fun, so I tried minions but they are in a bad spot.
I only started to have fun when I rolled LS life everyone else.
No if I'm honest, I'm "on hold" until 0.3.0.

I too am burnt out after taking 2 weeks to finish the campaign. I completed my first map but died 4x "completing it" so thank heavens for the 6 portals. I also got 4 toons to mapping last time and enjoyed the campaign, this time it has sucked so bad maybe I won't be able to imagine returning to try again.

I have had the most terrible levelling experience as a Lich with minions and chaos, unlike the streamers it really has struggled even when you said you had buffed us and nerfed the monsters I used to think to myself are you guys playtesting this to see how bad it sucks. The minions are so weak and die all the time and hit like a wet bus ticket.

Do not get me started on the drops this must be the most miserable league I have ever experienced in all my time playing POE. Gear and currency are non-existent, the vendors never ever have anything to help.

I have started another game with friends who refused to play with me this time as they found 0.1.0 annoying. I am so glad they didn't try.

Anyhow I am having fun in my other game which is a genre I have never played before (survival - Once Human - which is FTP). I have always supported the game over the years and even though I earnt the right to gain free access I still bought the first supporter pack. And as I enjoyed 0.1.0 I bought the upgrade but at the moment I can not see me ever supporting the game financially again.

I wish GGG well and as a West Aucklander I have always been so proud of them but this kiwi is saying I hope you can make an awesome game again that is FUN to play for the average gamer but personally I do not like the new direction or your idea of fun anymore.

After struggling to find a single redeemable quality I have since concluded that this companies vision no longer aligns with what made PoE a fun game.

0.2/10

I had a lot of fun in 0.1 playing a bunch of different classes, even the ones that were pretty bad compared to the top tiers. I played a ton with Witch Blood and Witch Hunter, and I also tried out a Deadeye and a Monk.

I hate repeating the campaign—it honestly gives me anxiety—but even so, I ran it multiple times back then because it was actually fun. There was a really cool flow to it, and reaching endgame felt rewarding. That’s definitely not the case in 0.2.

This time around, I dragged myself through the campaign. It took me two and a half days to finish it, and by the time I was done, I was already burned out. Still, I decided to give the new endgame a shot—and honestly, there are some really good things there! But the corrupted nexus RNG is so frustrating. Even then, I don’t think that’s the core issue...

Are you guys having fun? Like, are you really enjoying the game? Right now I’m sitting at 3 days, 4 hours, and 5 minutes played, and I’m already thinking of dropping it... It just feels like something’s missing. I can’t quite explain it. Maybe it’s just me.

"I feel the same way as you. I've been playing since day one and still haven't finished the campaign because I can only play for 2 hours a day. The game doesn't offer anything for people like me who have little time to play and have fun. In fact, this season has nothing enjoyable. There's definitely something missing that I can't quite explain, but I can give examples: the dropped items are very bad, I haven't found a single item I could use until level 50, there aren't enough rune slots, the builds are very bad, they're not fun, and there aren't many options. The game is pre-programmed for only certain skills to be endgame viable. I think I could write even more, but for now, I prefer playing Last Epoch

I agree the drops in campaign were terrible, most of my good gear was either yellows from vendors or blues from vendors I turned yellow. It got somewhat better once I reached maps, but even saying that, my current weapon is a blue from the vendor again which I crafted onto.

You can salvage items with sockets from vendors as well, to get artificer's shards if you don't have enough socket currency. I didn't do that but still had over 20 artificer's orbs once I reached maps.
Yeah, I'm enjoying it way more than 0.1. Genuinely don't know where people are struggling. There's a lack of build diversity for sure right now, but nothing that won't be adjusted. Think a lot of the negativity is exacerbated by the cancerous "creators" and their loyal fans that plague the community.

I do find it funny that the streamers that don't do videos aren't having many issues. Very curious.

Tbh yes, and weirdly (and I suspect intentionally) it has me playing less each day, and more likely to play for more days of the ‘league’. This in gaming business terms is called player retention and about the only metric that investors care about.
I played 0.1.0 as a semi hardcore (8 hours a day for 3-4 weeks) type player, this 0.2.0 league I am playing 1-3 hours a day and likely to do so for 4-8 weeks. That’s double the time that they (GGG) have to tempt me into spending money on MTX ;)

Build diversity (or more accurately, the lack of) is an intentional feature of PoE and has been for a decade.
This league skill A is meta so they sell a lot of MTX for that skill, next league skill B is and they sell a lot of MTX for that skill etc etc.. It’s their business model.

I played Monk Invoker in 0.1.0 and got burned out quickly, litterally there was no challenge for me, just drop the bell and smash everything, even arbiter +4.
I have much more fun in 0.2.0 when there is actually more smooth progression trough maps, i check every item, i "craft" items(slam exalts on good stats item, and actually make money out of it).
Loot became much more meaningful, while in 0.1.0 i just skipped pretty much every rare, there i have to actually think and find compromise between items that suit my build (bleed rake amazon) and i'm very happy if i find upgrade.
Campaign was rough tho.
So yeah i'm having fun, but there is some things that i like for them to tweak here and there, but overall its much better expirience than 0.1.0
