Calling your characters 'Toons'

I think that anyone who refers to their characters at Toons should be permabanned forever.

It is dumb and those people are dumb.

This is fact

Not just 2 cents
When I heard about cutthroat league I had a vision of a place, and in that place I saw a man, and in that man I saw my sword, and in my inventory I saw his loot

Oh goodness.. another thing WoW didn't start that it gets credit for? I think that term has been in use a lot longer than WoW has been around. :P
This nomenclature for player characters is a lot older than WoW. I have read die hard dungeons and dragons folks calling their characters toons.

I find it amusing what little it takes to get some people's dander up, seriously who cares about how people are calling their characters?

That makes no sense because "toon" would come from the fact you're playing a character you can see (a cartoon) in a video game. Those die hard D&D players probably lied to you and they play WoW instead.
They also were dumb

I was playing NWN1 on a roleplaying server with them.

Right, but the majority of gamers using the word "toon" to describe their character are current or former WoW players...and I hate WoW with passion.

We were calling them toons LONG before we had video to go with the games. Muds are where the term gained wide spread popularity.
Please don't tell me WoW was the first ever game you played.

Toons, champs, heroes, char. Char is pronounced ch - are.

Quick FYI.... I will call it any damn thing I please.

Moonpie kitty love, ascii magee... you get the idea.

Fact I did not know!

But it makes many amounts of sense that it came from WoW

Dark things from dark places...
