I want an explanation from the developers!
When will the game be playable with comfort? At least 60 fps on minimum settings (not to mention high) on AMD processors and video cards? Will something be done about this? How long can we tolerate this, I'm not the only one, why does your game drop FPS to unplayable on any settings when you see 20 monsters and effects!!!? You lose your players every day and believe me, there are more of them than those who come (newbies)
If your policy is that a new player comes, plays for a month, buys a chest and leaves, and the next one comes instead, etc., etc., then I'm not interested in your project. Have you really not seen how the game behaves on AMD video cards and processors in all those years of developing Poe 1 and Poe 2!? I want to get an answer to this question. Thank you! Have you tried dynamic resolution ? also turn off nvidia reflex

" On AMD video cards Reflex does not turn on, only on Nvidia, tried dynamic, does not help, it feels like the game is optimized for Nvidia or all employees in the company are on Nvidia. |

I do not understand these things so I speak as an idiot - however, it seems to me that the main FPS drop is a result of CPU throttling.
the game settings allow turning down graphics but this does little or nothing for CPU load (the cpu handles physics, calculations, etc). until they further optimize or decide to allow people to disable certain physics (monster death animation for example), there likely will be no solution for people running middle-tier hardware. |

" I have a pretty decent nvidia card and the game runs pretty bad for me also , I have 130 fps but it drops to 40 sometimes. You could try razor cortex it made my game run a lot better after optimizing my settings and and using game mode |

" lol yeah I bought a laptop specifically for this game (coming from Apple mac lol!) and I went with the "recommended" (not minimum) specs for the game - it's pitiful at end game solo, and graduates to absolute nightmare if I try to play with a friend. |

I see half the forum has been shouting about this problem for more than a year now) starting with Poe 1, there has been no reaction.
Just explain what's wrong with your game?! When I play all games on maximum graphics with 60+ stable fps, and when a pack of monsters runs out, your fps drops instantly, it's honestly very funny, how can this even be allowed to happen in so long. You can at least write this way and that our game does not work as it should with AMD processors and video cards too, everyone knows that things are much better on Nvidia, right? So who is to blame for the optimization, you or the guys from AMD? Or someone just does not want to do this and you don't give a damn about people with average PCs? " seems they are prioritizing CRASHES with the team that handle graphics department... that makes sense. They probably will look into perforamnce only when the most common crashes are gone. |

i got a RX 6700 XT, so very similar to op's graphic card
using lowest settings (because imho fps >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> gfx) i run at a constant 90-175 fps (90 when screen is full of gfx, 175 when screen is empty and a non-demanding map) turn off tessellation and anti aliasing and such crap in your amd radeon software. that will help a big deal :) also don't go above 1080p, because your eyes can not see individual pixels anyway so why need? general rule of thumb: any post process effect will drastically lower your fps, no matter your hardware. wether you have to render each frame once, or each frame twice, does make a big difference. note on that: MSAA (type of anti aliasing) technically would not be post process, only if set to SSAA. but i'd just not use it anyway if you can live without it :) edit: btw use Vulkan if you have amd. Vulkan is designed by and for AMD specifically! and for what ever reason, try both fullscreen and borderless windowed mode. i get huge fps loss in fullscreen. pls -add "Advanced Targeting System" to the options so we can disable accessibility-stuff -fix skills w/o movement to NOT MOVE YOU when using Attack Without Moving i.e. Ice Strike -rework: enemies instant-spells = math-game || very unfitting for meaningful combat cuz can't avoid with skill thx <3 Last edited by Naztrey#9177 on Apr 10, 2025, 7:59:53 AM
