1 day 8 hours /played - 56 rare items found

So I am half way through the Ziz interview/argument with Jonathan & Mark and wanted to add my own "anecdotal evidence" about loot.

I am in Act 3 Cruel, just finished the Apex of Filth, I have played this character for 1 day, 8 hours including quite a bit of time helping friends to catch up to me.

I sold 1 item a unique that dropped in the first map so that I could get the gold required to buy move speed boots.
EVERYTHING else has gone into the stash, none have been disenchanted or sold.

I have filled a single quad tab and slightly less than half filled a 2nd quad tab.

56 rare items (8-9 Regal Orbs equiv.)
12 unique items (1 Chance Orb equiv.)
15 socketed items [many not picked up] (~5 Artificers Orbs equiv.)

I now understand that I'm playing PoE 2 wrong, I should have been disenchanting everything in order to have the chance to have ~8 extra regals above the 3 that i've naturally dropped and should have rolled 11 rare items, of which most would have been bricked.

Apparently also the Artificer Orbs would have also allowed me to have 80% of my items socketed per Jonathan's experience rather than the ONE item I have which I bought for 1 exalt already socketed....

What has everyone elses journey been like for regals & artificers?

How has everyone else's journey for loot been?

Honestly, until act 2 cruel I was in 3-5 blue items, so no I wasn't utilising anything other than party bonus for rarity/quant.

Priority stat.

Act 3 cruel atm. I played most of the game with 10-35 MF and had no loot to speak of. A rare chest dropped me a wisdom scroll, not even joking.

As soon as I got my MF to 49 my drops doubled all of a sudden and felt perfectly fine. I can't imagine if someone lucked out and played the campaign with 100 MF they must be swimming in loot compared to me.

Players don't even know about the stat lol.

MF was nerfed in 0.2.

Details posted here. Short version: I care more about one good affix than the quantity of affixes. A good blue is worth way more than a pretty yellow colour with trash affixes. And I don't care if that good blue is on the "wrong" weapon class - I'll re-do half my build to use a "100% increased Phys Dmg" 2H weapon (or 70% for a 1H) after saving up 2~3 skill gems.

Vendors have 'good blues' a little too frequently for me to save up gold, so I don't have any to gamble and I sell my rares (plus half my blues). I'm stingy on using whetstones to up weapon quality, I'm very stingy on using artificier orbs as swapping out a ring is all I need to do to get around a sore resistance problem for a specific boss. From my PoE 1 days I have 55+ stash tabs so I have no shortage of space to keep 'good blues' I buy from vendors for whenever I feel I want a build change (or an alt character).

Act 3 normal so far. I'll eventually have to regal up 'good blues' but it's just not a priority. The skill/support gem drop rate is rather swingy but never famine.

In act IIIC just started... could always get a regal whenever I wanted same with artificers.

Wow that is a huge variance assuming you werent using MF at all and you got 12 raw regals in the same span of the campaign!!!
