I cant ... I give up. PoE being the only ARPG I play since 2014. Never looked for other ARPGs since PoE had all I wanted. Now all I get is PTSD from white mob stuns.
Will wait for todays interview and decide if its time to move on after hearing out the Devs. I think many are in the same boat. Sigh ... |

" Well, your life also matters, as does your evade chance. If, say, you go into a t1 map with 1k life, uncapped resistances, no evasion and no increased stun threshold then of course you're gonna get stun locked and die. If you go into the same map with 2k life, 75% all res and 60% evade chance then you probably won't, even without speccing into stun threshold. What I mean is that it's fine to have stun in the game, as long as it's balanced in a reasonable way. I'm not saying it is well balanced right now, but there's a big difference between tweaking the balance and removing it from the game. It is one aspect of defense that you have to solve in order to have a build that feels smooth. |

That's odd, I had no issues with stuns during my play of the new league. Stuns used to kill me a couple times on a ranged character in maps but during the campaign I never really ran into them much.
Played a crossbow tactician and a spear smith of kitava, and I got stunned literally once so far (which wasn't an issue because the smith is tanky as f). Then I took the "you cannot be light stunned" keystone since I was passing by it anyways and I'm obviously not going to get stunned going forward either. In my experience, if you put on the charm that removes stuns, and get the support gem that halves freeze duration (maybe get another reduced duration affix on your boots) you're golden and don't have to worry about anything except maps with +300% stun buildup and hastened mobs. " Its fine to have stun in the game for SPECIAL enemies. Boss attack speed, ability speed and stun chance is spot on! No qualms there. What purpose does a stun serve if its on EVERYTHING ? ... and if there is a purpose then can it be achieved in a less annoying way? Bosses are in maps to give you boss loot. They have Boss HP, Boss abilities, Boss attack speed, Boss chance to stun you if you fail to avoid its attacks. Rares are in map to give you rare loot. They have Rare HP, Rare abilities, Rare chance to stun you if you fail to avoid its attacks. White trash mobs are in the game to fill the space between Bosses and rares. They have White trash mob HP, No abilities. They serve the purpose to refill your flasks so that you have a better chance to kill the Rares and Bosses. What purpose does a stun serve on a White trash mob? Why is it there ?!?!? It creates Clunk and Annoyance. Last edited by Kodavor#1200 on Apr 8, 2025, 9:48:51 AM

" " Point of view from another player : 2.5k life, armour/ES build, 75% block chance, 50+ rage and the nodes that give you 1% stun treshold per rage + berserk at 20% quality, 9k armor, 2.5k ES, all res capped except chaos at 50%, he can't use some of the warrior skill because he's getting chain light stunned, so he's not using it ._.
