I love 0.2.0, Don't change it!

200 developers is absolutely small when compared to big AAA gaming companies like Ubisoft, Activision, Blizzard, Microsoft etc. . Given the scope and quality of both PoE1 and 2 I think this is a fair label to give them. Tencent might have financial interest in their company but does not directly give them access to their resources.

Some people might be grilling them but I'm openly praising them. I believe this version of the game is much closer to their original intention, and specifically the type of game I signed up for. I absolutely did not like the 1 shot meta of 0.1.0, where either you destroy the whole screen at once or you get one shot.

Your answer is a big bunch of nothing focusing on my grammer instead of the topic or BS what you have posted. You had no idea that they are owned by Tencent and now you want to marginalize a 200+ development team and calling it small comparing it to a whole puplisher instead of a specific studio. Furthermore you probably have no idea what it means to be a fully owned subsidiary of a big company.

This isn't even 100% true. As in you can still wipe out big packs of mobs with a couple of actions, you can also tank a fair (imo) amount of hits, and you can achieve an okay balance of the two. Seems like a lot of people are either losing their mind because they can't figure these things out in 0.2, OR they are taking any opportunity they can get to attack the underlying philosophy/goals of PoE2.

Im enjoying getting carried through act 3 with my tamed beast companion. easily a 40% damage increase. <3

really looking forward to playing and hunting more cool beasts, and seeing what they can do at end game.

Spoiler
im happy if GGG stick to their original concept. "souls like ARPG" But I would personally rather an "Elden Ring like ARPG". Initially Hard combat, but eventually you grow in strength to overcome it and although you might move onto increasingly harder and harder content you can keep up with it with better and better loot. With a few challenges because certain bosses or content are more challenging for your chosen character/class/weapon set up than some one else's set up.

I don't think I want content to be at a difficulty where im always stuck and gated at the next challenge. Requiring to coming back after progressing far beyond the original encounter and even then with multiple attempts (8+) to overcome the content.

i expect at end game yes, the game loop will be farming low tier maps until im geared enough to progress to mid tier, rinse repeat until i can reach the high tier content.

You're supposed to dodge them, get some hits off, manoeuvre around, get some more hits, circle around, get some more (like a souls-like). You need to learn to use tactics and strategy in combat, not just blast things like a max'd out hammerdin. I have no problem kiting mobs around and dodging their attacks until they're dead.

Some guy posted this in another thread. Did he dodge enough?

LMAO totally right.

One thing id like to add - Skill diversity. consider using that skill that ISNT just for damage. Maybe pick up nodes in the skill tree that give you blind, or maim.

People dont want to learn. They want what they knew to work.

This isn't the same POE2 as last patch, they said it.

Why are you all surprised? Its becoming the game they envisioned, and less like POE1.
Steam alone saw 200k plus players say na in 48hrs alone, some builds are blasting like 3 to 4....... everything else is underwhelming.

To all apologists of the thesis that the game became better after 0.2.0, I recommend completing Xesht on T4, presenting video proof of the completion, and then confessing your love for the game and GGG team.

Videos from first Xesht on POE2 0.1: (10 days after release, 15 DEC)
- Even streamers had hard time to beat it with fresh builds
- Fubgun did it on T4, but he was really lucky, like he was 100hp left 5x during the fight

Look at his build. He spent his ascendancy points on 3% mana and 20% energy shield ???
It sounds like minions are doing poorly in 0.2, but is this really a good example?
