A "lot" of people. Not really.

The thing is, when a player base is very large, just 1-5% of its players being unhappy and vocal about it will give the illusion a "lot" are unhappy when, in fact, 95% are actually fine with it (made up numbers, but you get the point).

A good exemple of this : Hogwarts Legacy had a "lot" of people boycotting it, but in terms of %, it was nothing.

Diablo IV is probably in the same boat despite streamers and most "serious" players moving away from it. Still millions of casuals.

I'm not saying there aren't any issues, but it's just being overblown by a small %.

I think "overblown" is the wrong sentiment here. I am usually completely positive about early access dev changes, because it comes with the territory.

But the point of early access is testing and fixing, and you can only rest and fix content that can be played - and currently I wouldn't even try simulacrum, breach (my breach tree is maxed so I know nothing I currently have could run it), and I haven't even seen a rogue exile yet so who knows. But what can now be called legacy content is, for all intents and purposes, practically unplayable by anything that could clear it consistently before the patch.

But I also get what you're saying, but I would also add that the "minority" that has the wherewithal to frequent the official forum is generally the mouthpiece of the silent majority that is just sitting home frustrated ready to uninstall.

It's a symptom of caring about something, speaking up when you feel it is threatened. And I think the future of a game I have already sank hundreds of dollars into, and thousands of hours, is threatened by a development vision that has lacked execution success.

I love From Software and theirs are my favorite games - but if I wanted the FromSoft experience I would play a FromSoft game.

This is an ARPG, and unless GGG is looking to carve out a niche in the genre (if they are looking to be a souls like ARPG, then I hope that future patches will more properly execute the vision) than this patch is a huge bump in the road for that has the potential to be the best ARPG ever developed.

Stupid people never lose an argument.

Dear GGG Team,

Like listening to music, watching a movie, reading a book, gaming is there to enjoy your free time, to spend you quality free time with things you like and enjoy.

For me and obviously for a lot of people, recent changes made us more like, F this and F that, and WTF is happening, and a lot of F words.

The quality of our free time, spend with your game is now almost to zero.

This is a business based on client satisfaction right?
It's free but not entirely and it's a good business.

Why ruin it?
I understand it's a early access period and game is not final.
That's why we test, you test, we play, you change things etc.

Now just listen again the feedback and revert the most changes you have done in latest patch.

Overall the level of difficulty is not correctly propagated. It's ... everywhere, it's not smart delivered. It's just there, even in the "grass" if i can say like this. Think again of how you can correctly distribute it in the game and don't just put it e v e r y w h e r e.

It's not fare for me, for us to play like this.

Of course we can just quit playing, it's a pit we'll end up with eventually, but I just thought i might write this few words before that happens.

Wishing you, good read, good thoughts and most of all good attention to us, the players, the clients.

With regards,
A player

FACTS
Just another take on this issue:

Let's talk a bit about things you remove from game.
This is analyzed with deep focus on Path of Building.
So, it's not me, it's the "math" behind the integrity of builds.

I understand if you need to lower some aspects, higher other so there is a balance. But ... when removing something and not replace it with something else that can sustain the base of what you are building , well this is a major issue.

I just wanted to say this and nothing else more since my time with Path of Exile 2 ended.

Take your community mods, make a new Slack section, gather all important things, analyze them one by one. Sort `em based on real facts you know sustain and make a proper or a new patch with just things we don't feel right for a game.

And remember this one thing: Games are for fun (and the fun is on our side, not yours :) )

Cheers

to GGG mods/devs/staff

PS: From time to time it would be "nice" to add something to post like this or others like this , so we can tell you at least understand and read `em.
Now it only looks we are "talking to walls"...

...they'll likely be their own demise... i can tell half the company hates the other half in some aspects over the PoE 1 vs 2, slash "direction"... blind leading the blind over there
NB!

Original post and all that came after is 100% in the direction of ENDGAME
Don't get "fooled" by the campaign. That's for really really new players.
Doing it all over again it's "the way" of GGG without any option to << Skip >>
But not that it would be a problem.

Only this I wanted to clarify that the game is meant for ENDGAME not campaign so all the "struggle" is there... well was there :)

They will listen when the numbers go down

True.
Also btw,
They banned me for one day because I mentioned who is now owner of GGG.
This is a thread from the Standard players that GGG promised could still play their characters on the new patch.

GGG should have never promised this, as it entails actually keeping the characters in standard in the same state, when obviously that was never going to be the case. They cannot handle making three different games at the same time, they are already stretched by the 2 they have.

They should just deliver better skills for these new players to use, so they can reroll with the rest of us, and be on-boarded into the league system. The game is most fun on a fresh economy. Standard in PoE1 is an interactable graveyard, so to simply use the same formula but expect a different result is insanity.
Don't bother, they are not listening. At least they should allow refunds for those who don’t see the 'vision'. After all it's an EA who have gone down the hill after one updated. I have bought an ARPG game not this abomination that lacks everything but most importantly lacks Fun.
If GGG have the balls than they should accept refunds request for us that don't see the 'vision'
For those who have fun and agree with how this game is evolving I'm truly happy for you. Have fun.
Just my 2 cents.
Have a nice evening gent's.
