@TenCent: The Actual Numbers show the Fanboys are the Minority


You mean these numbers? It's only day 3 after patch. High player count on 4th of April because it was the launch, then on 5th of April more people wanted to try out and check for themselves how the state of the game looks.

I expect less and less people to play after first week if the game will stay as it is now

So not only did you fail to get back 50% of the original EA player base with this patch, you have lost over 90k players ... IN LESS THAN A DAY. Clearly those calling everyone whiners are in a very small minority. Can POE2 keep going with only 20k players I wonder? Is that enough financial base for an MTX only product? Clearly not. Let me help you GGG (really TenCent) with some reality. Even the bean counters at TenCent have to see this is not economically viable.

SLOWING PLAYERS TO A CRAWL IS NOT ENGAGING. Nor is it actually viable. Elden Ring and Dark souls have micro engagements with 1 to 2 enemies. More than that and you probably die. With 15 mobs coming at you, not even the best of players will be able to solve a quantum physics problem while catching a fly with a pair of chopsticks to down an enemy. You either need A LOT FEWER engagements that are this hard or make the monsters weaker. Even with that weakness, having to pull off difficult combination hits to reach a zero base potential is not a viable gaming plan.

Take huntress. You heed to parry an enemy then disengage then use the frenzy charge to charge a spear throw and then whirl that into a fire tornado. If you actually accomplish this things should just die all over. In reality you need that to get BASELINE damage. That is expected of every player and every engagement and it is ludicrous.

You guys don't play your own product, that much is clear. If you did there is no way this gets past the drawing board.

So go on fan boys ... flame away. The numbers above show that its us "complainers" that are right. All your ad-hominem attacks wont keep the lights on at GGG. The reality is this was a HUGE MISSED CHANCE. The complainers are not asking for an I win button. However they are asking about a feasible play. And making videos mocking peoples feedback is a good way to go out of business.

So TenCent ... you have a CHOICE to make. Make a game to cater to 10% of your potential consumer base or start listening to us.

POE2 is a humongous gamedesign mess right now

1. Maps are HUGE, hordes of enemies, but the combat is designed for the exact opposite
2. You must come up with gimmick builds just to be minimally viable. You can't have fun with a simple build based around the character's intended archetype
3. If I want to play Dark Souls, I'll go and play it. In ARPG I want to relax, run around and get rewarded with flashy effects and loot. I'm not talking about frying dopamine receptors, but the gameplay where you must fight yellow mobs like they are bosses is too much
This game will die of if it continues like it is now.
With the playerbase that like dark souls arpg stuck in act 2 "enjoying" the game.
Their "vision" is going to get the game cancelled at this rate. I keep saying if they want to call me I can help them fix it. They wont but I thought I would volunteer.
theres no fixing this, you would need a drastic overhaul of the item rolls/tier capabilitys, it used to be awesome getting some blue electrocuting jewelry in poe1 for my lightning claw build, in poe2 a piece of gear with 80 flat lightning is probably stronger than 95% of playerbase gear overall
I don't mind that they nerfed the tops build
But devs should understand that their idea of "combo" mashing buttons doesn't work and it can't work when the mobs and boss are faster then the player and can one shoot the player in one hit
Not to mantion all CC u constantly getting light stunned even whit alimets res and stunthreshold
Mobs are way to fast and way to fat and hit too hard .
Also monsters and bosses should not have skills /hits that always hit Eva builds are a joke right now , block is pathetic and need to much points a specially after they removed so many jewel slots .
