229k of 578k is 40%. Yes, “majority” indeed.

Half of the players of the first 578k are not going back what ever they do, because they are casuals jumping from game to game, its amazing that 230k players ONLY in steam came back..

SO no is not because the patch ore reddit complianers.

Why do people walk around using 'casuals' like it's some sort of insult. Majority of gamers are casual players. You should be aiming to capture them AND the more hardcore gamers in your game. Not just the hardcore.

People rarely jump from game to game either. Costly, both in time, and money. Casual gamers don't play like that.

I believe if the launch was good, and the game was good, and didn't waste peoples time, and gave them good amounts of enjoyment, it would've simply retained more players, or even gained players. Games can gain enormous followings on launch day because of this. Retain hundreds of thousands, if not millions of players. Plenty of examples of it.

Enough with this cope, and excuses.
Playing Huntress. Parry lightning and tornadoes. It's slow. Methodical. And fun. If I play my cards right, I can delete the whole screen. Bosses take patience, planning, and precise execution.
The people crying are absolute babies.
They can go play PoE 1 if they want to mash 1 button.

Please don't turn PoE2 into a reskinned PoE1 because of a crying vocal minority. The point of PoE2 was to make something unique and engaging in a different way.

Alot of us are loving the gameplay of Dawn of the hunt, stay strong, don't fold on your core principles, people will adapt and learn to enjoy something new and innovative.

You're kind of missing the point here. At the end of the day, this is still a business, they have to make something that actually sells and keeps people playing. Sure, innovation is great, and PoE2 had an amazing start leagues ahead of D4 at launch, but the reality is that most players aren't looking for a super slow-paced, hardcore experience.

The truth is, the majority just don’t have the time or patience for that anymore. You might love "Dawn of the Hunt" (and that’s fine), but pretending that your taste represents the larger player base is just ignoring the facts. If only a tiny, vocal group sticks around while everyone else bounces off, the game dies. Innovation means nothing if it alienates most of the audience.

Nobody's asking for a PoE1 reskin, people just want fun, engaging gameplay that respects their time.
All the people loving the game are playing the game and all the whiners are showing up to the Feedback section of the forum. I didn't even wanna see the negativity going on here right now but the devs deserve to hear some positive voices too. I think the game was great during 0.1.0 and its even better now. If people like POE1 better they should play POE1
Does bro know that settlers had the same player count poe2 has now?
1. "Silent majority" -- The 'silent majority' has never been a thing. In anything. Ever. Amazing how people who claim to be a part of the "silent majority" never shut up about it.

2. "Majority" -- As another poster said, none of the numbers we have available back this up. At all.

3. "Silent" -- This is a beta for a game still in development. People need to give feedback. Staying silent in a beta is, like, the exact opposite of its intended purpose.

4. "Streamers" -- Almost all of the big streamers in the PoE category only play PoE. And a good chunk of the big streamers that aren't PoE mains play often enough that they shouldn't be considered tourists.

5. "FACTS and LOGIC" --
a. Again, no available FACTS support any assertions that a supposed 'silent majority' even exists.
b. Hard to read any FACTS and LOGIC from insults like "crybabies" and "whiners." Pretty standard procedure from the FACTS and LOGIC crowd to toss around ad hominems then cling to their opinions and emotions claiming they're FACTS and LOGIC.

You like 0.2? Great. I don't. And I don't care that you do. Your fun doesn't pertain to my lack of fun. And you shouldn't take my lack of fun as an affront to your fun. Shaming people for disagreeing with you? Insulting people for sharing feedback of a BETA in the FEEDBACK FORUM? That I care about. That grinds my gears. Miraculously, there are people in this very thread who have somehow managed to give positive constructive feedback without resorting to name-calling. Maybe try to be more like them instead of... whatever this is.

This is my third account. It's three weeks shy of ten years old. I created my first account the day 1.0 launched. I've been around a long time. This forum's -- every forum's -- toleration of insults from the toxic positivity crowd has always been baffling. Corposhill? A well-deserved timeout. Crybabies? Whiners? A totally undeserved free pass. Infuriating

I wrote this whole long response about the ways you're wrong and you are confusing "fun" with the "fun" you get solving a hard puzzle or doing a rubix cube.

It certainly requires more attention (where it shouldn't be right away in leveling)

The Huntress.. I had zero plans on using parry and after using it despite having to put it on my MMB cause there's so many buttons you want to use to slightly improve your damage and when I did the damage did improve but still on boss fights like the act I boss. There's no attacks he does that are parryable and also have any type of telegraph to let you know he's about to do them. So it ends up being a 5 minute fight on a boss I know all the mechanics for and the timing to dodge them but I am slowly withered down and all Im asking myself is am I going to be able to kill him before I make enough mistakes NOT TO DIE (as it should be) but to run out of life flask before I am able to do enough damage to him.

And the playstyle.. I'm engaging with either Thunder spear or the exploding one after 2.5s in order to proc projectile.. btw Thunder spear takes forever to cast its hardly better just as a skill to proc damage in melee attacks (it is good for trash but Im talking Single target DPS here) then I use the frost jab whirling attack whirling attack until Im at 3.. and then casting twisters. The only problem is you have to stay still with the whole sequence of whirling attack in order to cast the twisters you want because if you leave the whirlwind it goes away. So you designed it so we basically have to dodge but we also have to stand still. So I spent most of my time either just staying ranged or just staying melee not doing the twisters (this is the opposite of the intended playstyle) and dodging his attacks hoping I would get a chance to line up my attacks for an attack that only really does good damage if the enemy is close enough to a wall that it bounces off terrain back into him.

This is needlessly exhausting I did not feel engaged during the boss fights I was simply waiting out mechanics then attacking.

all my Guild is already out. if ggg want everyone out of his game, can continue balance the game for Try hard players, all Casual player that is the most of public will leave, and no one will pay his money, next season it will have less players than poe1, this actual poe2 is 0% healty everyone is angry.
totally agree with this, I played a lot of poe 1, but I dont want a teleport 1 shoot game, there's a reason why a very small niche play poe 1 and a lot more of play 2.
