GGG a non vocal majority are loving the direction of the game
Considering how the first 4 months of EA went, I'm going to tell you a mathematical truth that is; majority playing now are bots trying get a headstart so they can start fixing prices and selling rmt divines again.
The private message galore will start in a week. |

With regards to difficulty and playability, the game is fine aside from bugs that are getting patched. If you have a low tolerance for bugs then you probably don't belong in what is essentially a paid for beta test. Haven't gotten back to endgame content yet, but that's been kinda boring to this point. Hoping that something exciting exists there maybe, perhaps, perchance?

Pretty much the forums represent less than 2% of the player base.
So while maybe a couple hundred complain at most. 260k are playing the game. Forums are just getting flooded with people mad their broken builds dont work anymore Mash the clean

I am all for the slower pace but they are completely off target with most of their design choices.
Huntress should not revolve around waiting to parry a mob and then using it. Waiting is bad game design. It could be okay for it to be there, but there have to be real active options to generate frenzy charges if you want it to be so reliant on it. There aren't until act 2-3+ minimum and even then it's pretty jank. Even so just doing whirling slash + disengage or twister does nearly zero damage even with full investment into damage nodes and a decent weapon so there are no real alternatives for avoiding forced parrying. Act 1 Geonor is literally just keeping rake up and using basic attack until he's dead. You have basically just made Diablo 3 generator spender gameplay but you forgot to put in a generator. Active blocking is not a good choice in almost any scenario. Dodge roll is better in almost every case, and after like half of act 1 you can just dps through bosses little basic attack chains. If I have to block it has to have a reason, not just to generate some charge to use. At the very least parrying should be something that happens even with passive block, but even so huntress is basically completely unplayable with a normal armor shield. Rakes bleed isn't even noticeable. The best way to AoE down most packs is to just rake and then stand there and spam basic attack cause it does more damage than whirling strikes. My number one issue is that basic attack should not be something that is this much of a part of any build. It's okay for it to be there early, but within the first 10-15 levels you should be able to replace it with a different basic attack. What I mean with that is something like Frost Strike. Every class should have a frost strike equivalent. Whether its Double Strike or Heavy Strike or something that just feels like a basic attack but feels more fluent, has more damage, and a few combo steps. Basic attack just feels horrible to play because its so minimalistic and it hard locks you in place and doesn't have a fluid combo to it or anything. As a warrior you're basically forced to spam rolling slam over and over and over and over and over forever if you want anything other than basic attack, and it feels like a skill you should use once per pack at most otherwise it just becomes annoying. Or you just remove it entirely and rely only on huge hits like Sunder. There are so many combo options in the game that just feel awful. Ailment consumption is a SHIT mechanic and is just extremely counterintuitive. You're basically self-harming as a build if you ever build for consumption. You have to build to apply ailments and then you delete that whole aspect of your build just so you can cast a big spell that DOESN'T synergize at all with your build?? Wow I have +100% ignite chance so I can cast firestorm that doesn't ignite? Amazing. Just use skill that automatically ignite? Yeah they are all TRASH. Incinerating into firestorm feels horrendous, and burning inscription fills like 40% of your curse area so you need massive curse aoe investment for it to do anything at all, and solar orb is just a trash skill that does nothing except allow you to target flame blast once every 15 seconds now (lol). There are WAY WAY WAY too many skills that are "combo skills" that do literally NOTHING AT ALL on their own for no good reason. Consuming fully broken armor is also total trash, because you're building for breaking armor and then youre just deleting the thing you built up for. Fully broken armor should be a damage boost and certain abilities should do more damage vs broken armor, but not consume it. The entire breaking armor to consuming it gameplay loop is basically replacing having DPS for having only 1 button that can do damage and you have to do a bunch of shitty hits that do nothing to be able to deal any damage. Armor breaker is the worst designed skill in the entire game by far. Last edited by Kashou#2868 on Apr 5, 2025, 5:38:47 AM

Im enjoying the difficulty a lot. It Really does feel like a different game.
Side note, Super happy they added glory to spear of solaris, just like the hammer of the gods. F*cking love that! If i had to complain at all, its how lightning sided the game, or atleast, huntress feels comparatively to the other 2 elements. As for bleed, its missing just a bit, but I think thats a bug (crescendo doesnt work on Rapid assault) - so im not really sure. Its like you can see how lightning made it through, but cold/fire and even bleeds a bit lacking/Unfinished. Still, very cool. I really like the spear skills. All in all, I definitely feel like its much better. You cant BS the perk tree anymore, skipping stuff to get your desired perks. You really pay the price for it, and i hope they dont nerf the act 1 boss. Its challenging for a game that was always meant to be difficult imo. It also helped me refine my build a bit, and made me realize that I couldn't just sit on my resources and cruise through the acts. I NEEDED to use them so that I was strong enough. (this is coming from a guy who loves Action RPGs, and bs'ing without armor. Fashion first!) and sure enough, I was. Thinking back to my first attempt, I was tickling the boss. Still - this is partly why I felt rapid assault was lacking a bit. I needed it, but I wonder if Basic spear thrust would have done, because it had higher dps with the same support gems - (this is after calculating dps of all 3 parts of rapid assault then comparing). eitherway. Great job GGG Last edited by jihaku87#7034 on Apr 5, 2025, 5:27:41 AM

" Not sure what you mean. In 3 weeks the top builds will make POE looks slow and they will be all the same builds from patch 1. Other classes just cant manage. |

the non vocal majority have not jumped back for the first league, just on steam it's showing that dawn of the hunt had it's peak in the last 24 hours less than half on EA launch, we'll see how fast that falls off and if 0.3 will manage to get higher or lower numbers
