Well...I couldn't even face logging in. Nothing jumped out in the presentation or patch notes that made me think "Yes, enough of the core issues have been fixed to warrant spending many hours getting through the campaign." (Where's that 3rd slot for a quicksilver flask GGG....).
I have limited time, so decided to see what the general consensus was, watch streamers try out various builds and find some articulate and constructive posts/experiences, like this one, and if it was "Wow, what a patch! This is so much better than 0.1", off we go. Sadly, and it is sadly, back to waiting. Fun and positive experiences to be found in other games (gold crown farming, for one). PoE1 - The fun one.
PoE2 - The Masochism Machine. |

" This is me. When EA released I spent that weekend just smashing the game. A couple nights later and I was running maps. But by level 85 I realized that my WH Merc grenadier was just too slow to be effective. I never rolled alts in POE but I had like 5 uniques that were perfect for leveling a monk, so I gave it a shot. Literally that night I was in maps. Had tons of fun, made a fair amount of currency and gave it all away (I like to do giveaways in POE). But with this patch I played like 2 hours last night and got bored. Logged in today to give it another chance, got the the Act 1 boss, struggled for 10 minutes then died with him <5% because I ran out of flask charged. That's a boss I 1-shot on my very first character on the first night of release with some struggle. It's simply not fun. Not gonna farm XP/gear to struggle against a boss I've already killed dozens of times (including citadels) just because GGG has a vision of a "Tactical" ARPG. |

Alright, I’ve tried to stay patient. I’ve tried to give the devs the benefit of the doubt. But after spending 10 hours with the new Huntress class, I can confidently say this is one of the worst design choices this game has ever seen.
Let’s start with the obvious: she does no damage. Zero. Zilch. Nada. What exactly is her role supposed to be? A glorified dodge bot? This is a hack n' slash game, not some bootleg Elden Ring tribute act. The Huntress is clunky, unresponsive, and just plain not fun. Why are we shoehorning in slow, methodical dueling mechanics into a top-down isometric game that thrives on fluid, high-impact action? And honestly, this is just a symptom of a bigger problem: the devs are out of touch. It’s painfully obvious they don’t play their own game anymore. Jonathan—yes, the Jonathan, the “visionary” behind this mess—needs to go. The guy overscopes every patch like he’s designing the next Skyrim. We don’t need bold new systems every update; we need balance, polish, and devs who understand the soul of the game they’re building. The Huntress isn’t just a bad class. She’s a warning sign. And if things don’t change soon, this game’s going to dodge-roll straight off a cliff. Last edited by Schranzfranz#4329 on Apr 7, 2025, 4:08:25 AM

" Please GGG do change that to another key - and not one for movement or left click. |

Definitely NOT a management issue, Jonathan is well qualified to be Game Director.
It is the players who are wrong, all of them. |
