Why remove half of the jewel sockets?

The potential mods on the jewels were an issue I feel...

Feels like a similar thing w/ the magic find/item rarity debacle several months ago

Was about everyone just having to have the stat (MF) in their gear

When you remove any diversity, it becomes pointless and Not Balanced -- jewel seems to be similar to that (MF/IR

Yes on the surface jewels are similar to that.

But just like an iceberg there is more than meets the eye.

Jewels were the DIVERSITY DEFINING ITEM for builds. This was only possible due to the plethora of Jewel slots, not the design of jewels themselves.

What I’m saying is killing build diversity to create less build diversity is the dumbest thing anyone could possibly imagine doing but yet here’s GGG blazing the trail.

GGG is so out of touch they think 100 skill gems = more build diversity than 12 jewel slots.

These are measurable metrics. Meaning there is a factual answer at the end of the question. They could have added 500 skill gems and it wouldn’t touch the diversity 12 additional jewel slots adds to every build possible.

And btw they could have fixed the game without cutting jewel slots by increasing boss and monster HP rather than cutting it.

Hm.............maybe remove some potential mods on the jewel. Some of them are OP (or so I heard?)

It’s no wonder SSF is so popular in Path of exile, when a game is managed this poorly the only way to stomach playing it would be alone.

If nothing else you fan boys and girls possess an abundant degree of resilience to being disrespected by some crackhead shot caller at GgG whose only goal is to rug pull you as hard as possible.

You would have to be one of the best examples of why Nepotism never produces a good outcome or severely addicted to a hard drug to be as stupid as whoever is calling shots at GgG

But Trade is yucky.....SSF or SSF-like is the way to go............;)

It isn’t about trade, it’s about the fact when you play SSF you have no competition.

You get to hold on to your brittle false sense that you are the bestest ever.

I’m just saying this, clearly the designers have no clue what they are doing because they launched an AARPG with no PvP.

A big part of no PvP is all the brain dead SSF players who need SSF to feel like they are good at a game. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

You need a whole mode dedicated to playing a game by yourself because competition makes you feel less than.

Anyway I’ve fired enough shots at all the lap riders and shot callers, I’m done giving out free advice to GGG.

There is nothing pure nor fair about a random number generator. All of yours drops are random number generated.

Whoever ends up getting the best drops has the best build, SSF is no different than regular game.

The only difference is the fact you are dumb enough to think there is a difference.

Sure in SSF you can’t trade but it’s not like the determining factor in any random number generated field is ever skill.

The fact you think skill is involved in a random number generated process is hilarious.

Very simple logic, Doesn’t matter if it’s SSF or otherwise, whoever gets the best drops will have the best gear as long as they aren’t a moron.

Also just saying, trading is a skill set. Trading at least offsets some of the random number generated nature of the design.

So if anything trade leagues are far more pure and competitive than SSF could ever be.

Let’s not pretend like there aren’t SSF accounts with 2-5 people playing the same account too.

This whole “ssf is the best thing ever made” is hilarious because SSF is easier to cheat in via botting.

But hey what do I know, I actually crunch numbers and research before I speak on something.

Yeah and those best SSF players in your ssf league are just people with 2-5 people playing the single account.

Whats your point? You think you as a single SSF player can compete with a team of 5 people playing one account?

No you can’t. So stop pretending you can. And stop pretending SSF isn’t riddled with just as many cheaters.

This whole Holier than tho because I play SSF thing is hilarious because the average SSF player is so stupid they can’t even figure out how people would cheat.
