wiping 5 screens is cool and fun staff. Is it bad? Really? Why? Any reason why?

It's simple — because for the most people it is not fun.
Diablo 2 is essentially the same thing and has been for a long time. You use one ability to clear things never more than one and its all about doing it as fast as possible.

D2R now has Mosaic which makes assassins the main ones doing it..

Before that for Cows it was Amazons...

For Act 4 it was Paladins...

For Act 5 its Light Sorcs...

That article is irrelevant... af

we are honored you came to our forums David, you are a tru legend!

However please understand the end-game here was slapped within few months so we don't have to run Arrogat for he next few months, so the reason that it feels unfinished its that its unfinished.

Ok. Create warrior and you got it.
End game speed in poe 2 (I mean core gameplay) is good.

I created a warrior. Entire screens die to stampede and its aftershocks.

I created another warrior. Warcries blow up entire screens and nothing can touch me in melee.

I created another warrior. Totems clear entire screens while i'm sorting my inventory because loot is the only thing i could see after all the shockwaves.

I created another warrior. Even auto attack still clears entire screens with cultist hammer.

I'll try resonating shield/magma barrier next time but something tells me the result will be the same.

And warrior is the LEAST speed clearing class of all.

try rolling any class in ssf, let me know how that 'clears entire screen' goes

I'm literally on HCSSF lmao. The only problem so far have been finding a good cultist hammer.

I still haven't seen any concrete evidence about them changing the endgame in any significant way, the transition will be smoother, yes, but it will still feel like PoE1. We went from what I considered apex gameplay (slow & methodical) back to MTX vomit & clearing 5 screens with 1 ability. Since the devs literally worshiped Diablo 2 so much and wanted to create something very different from PoE1 - they should consider Brevik's words.

You have a level 48 witch... just saying.. thats your only POE2 Character..

Diablo 2 wasn't always like that actually. It was the synergy patch that turned it into the main skill scheme it became. One of the mistakes I mentioned previously.

It was the 2nd to last patch 1.10 if I recall. Two years after LoD release.

Before the synergy patch you used many skills because you simply had the left over points. Most classes generally rotated two main skills like Frozen Obr + Chain Lightning.

Diablo 2 is essentially the same thing

D2 is an outdated ancient game. Why even compare? POE2 is 25 years newer and thus should be 25 times better (in ideal world, but still).
Generally, I don't see an issue with current in-game speed IN GENERAL. There are some issues here and there, but generally, it's fine.
What I would like to have instead is some sort of league mechanic (not on maps maybe, similar to Trials) with the same type of pacing as it is in the campaign. Like, more health for monsters, they move slower and they're packed thoughtfully (not a random bunch of mobs here and there slapped on a map).
Basically, something like "create your own campaign" kinda thing. I'd like to pick a bunch of maps (visually the same as they are right now) that I can go from one to another and follow it through. Like Oasis as a first map, then I'll clear the Wild West tower, and after that a map with a boss in a desert setting and so on and so forth. Basically, I've just created my own campaign but without quests.

For it to work, though, I think we need much more things to do on maps. For example, everybody hates Augury. THB, the map is cool, but the issue is that there is a "central" location that has nothing going on there. I generally like the map, but there should be no "kill all the rares" type of "quest" for it. Let me do something in this middle area (like a boss, or touch something) and then call it a day. A map will be finished.
I'd love to have maps where you stand still, defending a small area (like the tower defense type of gameplay) from waves of enemies instead of going for them.
And most importantly, add more "random" things to maps. They are so beautiful and IMO begging for exploration. But there is nothing on that to strife for. Add a merchant that sells unique NOT ONLY on separate maps, but in all maps with a small chance of occurring. Add much more unique notes, and random NPCs with a couple of lines of dialogue. Maybe even some of them enter your hideout as decorations or as "temporary" residences, offering some Delirium stuff, for example.

cool story bro

Your skill issue isn't my problem. Warrior builds are incredibly simple in terms of gearing, just get enough strength and/or +melee skill level. It's almost impossible to make stampede with aftershocks and armor explosion not destroy entire screens. Same for totems, +6 two hand mace, +2 amulet and +2 gloves aren't that hard to get, add warbringer's armour break on top and you're good. Warcries are a bit more difficult to scale but it's still far from slow and methodical, You literally just press RMB a few times and proceed to the next pack, and with high enough density you just chain one corpse explosion after another.
