Perhaps my build is the issue(SSF and all) but i kinda agree, Simulucrum feels, over tuned? Maybe not the best word for it, but to put into some context,
Running a CI Ice strike monk with 10k ES(5k flat then 5k with grimfeast, obviously ess at the start but you understand)
With this build, ive completed arbitor, completed breach boss, and completed ritual boss(as in, i have all atlas points unlocked)
However, when i did my first Simulacrum attempt...i was fighting for my life. From like wave 5 onwards, i felt like i was dealing with maxed out breach off rip, and it really did feel like a 1 mistake will end it all. Kosis himself wasn't too bad, but since then, iv'e not bothered trying to attempt +1 or +2 because i legit don't think i could get through the waves.

I don't think "overtuned" is the wrong word, but I think it's not the monsters themselves that are the real issue. I can Simu on different chars and builds and the biggest problem I encountered on ALL of them was "stun".
Sure, the "Stone Charm" (against stun) exists, but in later waves basically every single hit can stun you, depending on your build and that will rip even the strongest characters, the charges are gone in an instant.

As a build that relies on freeze shatter, the thresholds are INSANITY, so i spent most my time basically, hit once or twice, dodge roll, hit twice, drop bell, drop eye of winter, rinse repeat, it was, i guess for lack of a better term, Engauging combat, but i really was like, one miss roll into a dead pixel corner or get trapped or not dodge rolll out in time away from death, id expect that from maybe +2 or +3, but +0 felt harder and more stressful that +4 xesht

I wonder if GGG will tune Simulacrum a bit down, at least pre Tier 5. I am not sure about a nerf on GGG side because Deli/Simulacrum was always on the harder end of mechanics which not every build could handle.

The issue with simulacrum is when you start getting +% monster life and then +% of life as energy shield.
You need crazy dps to keep up with it. Simulacrum pushes you to dps harder, not build defense. There is no defense to getting mashed against a wall and stun-locked by things that don't die quickly.

I kind of hope they do. My friend is running a 200 div Spark build, and he struggled just as much as i did. If not for the random multipliers, but for the fact that you get displaced and knocked out of your animations so much, and then wind up stunned, its worse than dealing with ritual rats in a tiny area haha

It so weird that these builds can't run Simulacrum, while I can run Simu T1-T4 on my "Detonate Dead" build. You know, Deli monsters don't leave corpses.
And the only reason I cannot run T5 is because I don't have the second charm slot to prevent "freeze".
Yeah, the stun in Simu is insane. Like you've said, not even Ritual is that punishing.

This game is all about do one shot or die by one shot. Not much different than Poe 1. Focus on powerfull builds if you don't handle yourself, it's not a shame. At least not yours.

100% Agree that simulacrums are absolutely busted. The people posting here saying that you need to build defense into your build have no idea what they are talking about. You have monsters with leaps that will instantly be up in our face and constantly stun you preventing any damage output and the arena is too small to kite. My spark mage runs 5.5k EHP with 1500 regen, with a 40% block chance shield, capped res, CI, points invested into stun resistance and 9/15 is the max I could go. You just need insane damage to aoe one shot every enemy to have a chance.
Base Delerium is just so under powered compared to when you can invest some points and get maps with pre-instilled. This just leads to people that can do Delerium to get even more ahead than they already, are compared to those of us that play builds that cannot do Delerium.
In general, I'm not against having super hard stuff to do but pre-instilled deli maps Is just such a significant boost to the amount of currency you can gain by running maps, that locking it behind such an insane amount of challenge skews the market distribution of wealth significantly.
