LOL not even 25k ES builds can survive even 1 second in simulacrum without instakilling the entire screen.
There is no defense that works there except instakill aoe dps offence.
You'd probably know that if you actually tried it.
and you guys think this is a good and balanced game design???

Build is Magma Barrier Titan, 5.8k life, ~6k armor, 78% resists, 71% block.
I don't instakill screens, i don't have full screen aoe.
Turns out there's defense that works, crazy right? And you don't need high budget for it.

It's the same in POE1. Recently tried it, and it was taking me 15+ minutes to kill regular mobs when I have no problem with the rest of the game. At least then in POE1 I could phase through the enemies to escape.

Weird, I only have 3k life but i can tank that shit fine If dodging those big boss melee attacks on simu 4. seems like ES is shit? Ever heard of kiting? :>
jokes aside, i build around defense for simu, so yes you can, just need to know how.

Its fine? I play it for xp mostly, as t16 maps are far between and doing deli maps is the winning choice simus stack up. lvl 82 zone gives good xp. thats all.

i got 15k es on my monk and i can survive also i had to adjust and overcome cause the heralds "instakill the entire screen" combo don't work in simulacrum (cause mobs die a weird way like vanish so heralds are not trigger) but you'd probably know that if you actually tried :D

My guess is more that people just die because they got stunned never tried to use a different charm like thawing charm or stone charm.
I would really love to get more information about a die than the message:
*** has been slain.
But yeah that is another topic for another thread.
