i rage quit from poe1 a few times and ran back with my tail tucked between my legs when they made new interesting leagues.
heck poe1 standard/settlers is still there if you want to play poe1 that much. temp leagues arent everything.

I've put in about 60 hours in PoE 1 in the last few weeks. Having a blast. Hate poe 2 with a passion though.
This is just Overwatch 2 all over again. There is nothing innovative about poe2. Not a single thing.

PoE 1 is the best. PoE 2 is something.

I'm wondering how many of the people that think this ever played Call of Duty. Because that was the same, except you were signing up knowing you had to pay $60 MORE in a year (basically).
And we did it.
And we had midnight release parties. In November. In the snow. Outside for hours.
It was fun. There was a sense of community. I played with people in the town I lived in because I met them at midnight releases.

They are far behind on schedule. I mean there are like 4-6 classes still waiting on POE2. They can't spare any dev for POE1 even for a 1min. They also need to fix their game engine which causes a lot of crashes / fps problems.
I hope they won't end up like Blizz.
tehy dont need to "spare" any devs, they just need to return the PoE1 team that was supposed to be SEPARATE back to working on the stuff they are supposed to be working on instead of being "allocated" to work on a project that will crash and burn whether the SMALL team of PoE1 devs is on it or not ...

As far as I know, only Jonathan Rogers is left of them.
The rest is either official or unofficial, such as Chris Wilson, no longer a decision maker at GGG, they have completely handed over the authority to act to Tencent and we see the result in Path of Exile 1 and also very strongly in Poe2.
The idea Poe1 was sold and packed 1 to 1 in a different package and called Poe2.
I don't think Tencent will deviate from their concept of asking children to pay, so in the long run this game will not be enjoyable for most people. Anyone who claims otherwise has simply lost control over their perception and their judgment.
GGG is done, I don't think it's good myself.
To this day I still wonder whether GGG or Tencent themselves put the RMT offers on the Internet and thus unofficially fueled a "pay to win" for years.
After all the lies, the store can handle anything

Why do you hate PoE 2 with passion? What a game did to you that you feel hate? Especially if you can simply decide to not play a game. Or somebody pointed a gun to you and forced you to play?

I'm pretty sure during Q&A stream they stated that their intent to make PoE2 different from PoE1, so much that there will be minimal audience overlap. I.e. zoom-zoom in PoE1 and dark souls lite in PoE2. But it will take time, because even endgame in PoE2 is just placeholder copy from PoE1.
