" so? they will just keep delaying it. they bought themselves a couple of months now with the announcement, then when the time is up there will be another announcement similar to today's one and the loop will keep going |

GGG doesn't want to play with us anymore Ask yourself: If this were Blizzard, how would you feel? Last edited by Jabletron#5466 on Jan 30, 2025, 1:28:15 AM

" So let me get this straight, you're predicting no POE1 leagues all year. I mea you're just making up stories at this point, I'm not going to argue with head cannon. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |
|
" no there will probably be one league at least, but who knows when. they already delayed it twice. once late last year and again now. i see a pattern emerging |
|
" the development of next league has to start or even be ongoing WHILE the "current" league is launching to make the deadline of 3-4 moths between releases by theyr admission today they havent even STARTED to work on 3.26 yet and that it was originally expected to go live in OCTOBER of last year ... the second thing that was sayd is that the work on 3.26 wont even start until the 0.2 of PoE2 goes live ... assuming 0.2 comes in February-March that would put it around June-july ... literally a YEAR after Settlers launch ... |

They are far behind on schedule. I mean there are like 4-6 classes still waiting on POE2. They can't spare any dev for POE1 even for a 1min. They also need to fix their game engine which causes a lot of crashes / fps problems.
I hope they won't end up like Blizz. |
|
" tehy dont need to "spare" any devs, they just need to return the PoE1 team that was supposed to be SEPARATE back to working on the stuff they are supposed to be working on instead of being "allocated" to work on a project that will crash and burn whether the SMALL team of PoE1 devs is on it or not ... |

-1 to OP -> Definitely not the end of the world.
Well, at least it is nice to get confirmation what's going on... but a 5 minutes video doesn't exempt them for the lack of execution capabilities on both games. Aside for internal issues, GGG will face few challenges on player acquisition /retention first months of 2025. Most evident one is Monster Hunter Wilds in late February. And then, at least for me, it will be next Last Epoch league and Xenoblade Chronicles X remake [Side note: Do yourself a favor and play this game. Story mode is really bad compared with other Xenoblade games but this has one of the -surprisingly!!!- best grinding end-games in any JRPG]. Besides, I would like to close here in good terms: I really wish the people in GGG to be proud of what they are doing because it is evident that there is passion, dedication and technical "how-to". It is only a matter of time until they find themself again. Last edited by Lord_Arami#5382 on Jan 30, 2025, 2:47:57 AM

I don't care about poe1 but looks like they don't care about poe2 as well. They will no longer balance patch or other type of patches for poe2, they are telling us to wait til next content patch which seems to be months away. BRAND NEW GAME BTW, i have never seen this treatment for a brand new game before.
