[Request] Inventory WAY TOO Small, Add Buyable Inventory Tabs!
" This is a good idea, but I don't think it by itself creates sufficient friction. Items on the ground should vanish after ~10 seconds. So the player should be motivated to pick them up as soon as possible, ideally while in combat. In fact, picking up items should trigger corruption mob spawns. This would require the player to engage with inventory management and combat at the same time creating a strong sense of success and "earning" the item - unless of course they fail the minigame or get murdered by the spawns. In which case the player needs to git gud. |

If you're not joking you're seriously playing the game wrong.
I only ever need more than 1 inventory space if I get 10 breaches, otherwise usually 1 is more than enough |

I am not a fan of the legacy system of inventory tetris for different item sizes. This is very cumbersome on a controller moving items around so you can fit one more helm because you have 10 empty slots that don't make a 2x2 square. The one great improvement over poe1 is that the game pauses when opening inventory so you can play tetris without dying.
If items must take a different number of slots, it would be nice if the game at least allow that just be a number and not require fitting them into a tightly packed grid. Grim dawn(I think) and D3 had really good wheel interfaces for managing inventory from a controller. That could even be integrated into a max number of item squares so it wouldn't upset the idea of a limited bag space, just making it faster to manage. Edit: It wasn't grim dawn but torchlight 2 that had the wheel based controller inventory. D3 only used it on console and not on PC. Last edited by kelzod#3040 on Jan 27, 2025, 6:01:01 PM

I genuinely would have preferred GGG to make the 20 slot inventory chest "Colossal Capacity" an MTX or quest reward instead of a Warrior ascendency.
I feel like the small 20 slot chest would not be P2W, it is completely unnecessary, and more like a nice-to-have. HOWEVER, when you get used to it, and putting some cureencies and maps in it, it becomes annoying when you switch characters. You build habits for how to manage your inventory and when you switch characters it becomes a hindrance as you have to change your habits. For that reason I think it was not a good design decision to make the 20 slot chest a Warrior only feature. Obviously now that it is out GGG would probably have some backlash if they made it into an MTX but I think it would be worth it. It would be overal improved QOL for everyone. edit: but I think adding "tabs" is a bad idea. The 20 slot chest is about as far as I would go. Tabs would be awkward to manage. Generally having part of your inventory hidden and having your pickup loot go in some tabs outside of your current view is not a good experience. Last edited by DeF46#3887 on Jan 25, 2025, 6:22:33 PM

Already "forced" to buy stash tabs to play the game. This is the real cost of the game(f2p...or just on layaway?). If they added more "must buy" stuff that affects gameplay I think I'd be out.
