[Request] Inventory WAY TOO Small, Add Buyable Inventory Tabs!
I'm pretty sure all players will buy those inventory tabs because they won't have to return every single minute to salvage dropped items, avoiding those annoying portal and loading animations and increasing the quality of life, less stress = better game.
The inventory tabs shall be small round buttons under the charm-slots, limited to 4/5 tabs, buttons whose tabs are empty are unlit, but tabs that have at least 1 item will have their button lit (gold dot). I really think this is a good idea that avoids modifying the metrics of the existing inventory and yet solves the problem that began from Diablo, there is really no point in using the portal if functionaly the result is the same but saves time and nerves, and lets the players focus on the grinding instead on the loading animations! (Alternatively, I really think it's much worse but a 'Backpack' item above the left ring would solve the problem to some extent too, although it would be quite annoying to use.) If you add this in poE2's current state, you may as well just give unlimited portals and unlimited bag space. The whole point of both limited pack space and portals with a 1 death system is to make players consider what is and isn't worth looting. Even with PoE1's system, the bag limitation means you would, in hard maps, balance how many portals you use for loot, and how many portals you risk the random deaths to.
Reducing this strips out a layer of complexity and judgement calls from the player, and making them MTX would be straight pay to win, as it offers an advantage to farming only paying players get, rather than just the convince of time saved (though it would also convey that). If anything, I want to see more items that aren't rectangles, really get that inventory Tetris going! |

tbh....now that there is only 1 portal, why not let us have access to our stash while mapping? Except....only for putting items in, not taking anything out. Nothing fancy like trade access or anything like that, just pure and simple dump storage while mapping.
obviously, the goal of the inventory is to limit what you are able to pick up and carry at a given time. But I don't really think that limitation is necessary anymore? We are already meant to filter out 99% of drops; the slowed down progress of picking up too many items and storage space would serve basically the same purpose of limiting what you choose to pickup. " Every time you pick up an item, the inventory should open and you have to rotate and place the item in your inventory with the arrow keys aswell, if you fail you lose the item. |

Why not use the Grim Dawn system and makes that you unlock more storage by doing quests?

It's the size of the items.
If they reduced all icons to the size of a Scroll, then it would save space. Hovering over a large item could blow it up to the original visual size. |

I honestly don't mind the current system. It makes me consider more carefully what I want to loot and what I consider acceptable to leave on the ground. I bring scrolls to identify for this very reason, to see if it's worthwhile or not, if it's worth, I keep it on me, if it's vendor trash, I drop it. At first I felt like I had to bring back all the rares and such to get Gold, but you get more than enough Gold as drops. Superior and socketed items may cause me to need to go back maybe twice or trice in a map, but it's not to the point where I need to travel back all the time. It also gives the Titan's extra inventory extra value, and if we could get such expanded inventories on all our characters, that perk of the Titan would be drastically lessened in any sort of value. (I main a Chronomancer btw.)
