Things in Diablo 4 that are objectively better than POE 2

"Nothing."
- Greek Philosopher Bofadese on things Diablo IV has done better

So really easy to handle the unique issue with the classes I have played:

When D4 came out there were Staff Uniques I would have been interested in trying. The problem is Staff takes up two item slots, that's two legendary aspects, or if you are replacing a Staff, a 2x or so Legendary Aspect. So the Unique aspect can't be overridden, it has to be worth that weight. That is hard to do.

On top of this problem, with uniques at launch generally being worse than the legendary aspect they were replacing, The affixes were generally shit. Like government cheese vs Sharp Cheddar shit. 3 useless ones and an offmeta on most of the affixes. this is at launch. A unique was generally useless to put on with few exceptions.

This problem is in POE 2 to some extent. Most uniques don't seem to be enabling in and of themselves. A lot of power in the form of mods is sacrificed in order to use the unique. but unlike Diablo IV, a lot can be used. Chiming staff unique on a blood mage works out of the box. Choir of the storm out of the box. Mist whisper and the other crossbow is janky, but with howa and stat stacking works. There isn't a lot of variety (yet) but things can be made to work, and work well, by building a certain way.

To make your fun uniques work in D4 you did that by overpowering the cost. You weren't making the unique work, you were working in spite of the unique dragging you. You'd be much smoother without it generally.

I'm not saying POE 2 is perfect, but at launch, I can see how I can make things work. Deathblow barbarian was better off using a two handed axe/sword than the deathblow unique. It's silly.

Options are limited, but they are there. D4 just had bad choices really.
PoE2 is a free2play game (official release)
only the early access costs 28€ + you get 300 gold coins = worth 28€
D4 70+ € only for the game
D4 is dogshit
PoE2 Wins
gg.

just add more content
more weapon-types
more classes
more skill gems
more support gems
ofc fix the known bugs + performance issue
done, easy win
The campaign alone is a decent enough buy for $30.

The character gender lock thing is a design choice. Perfectly acceptable one. Fits the theme. Some people like it, some people hate it, some people cry because it doesn't match their goon cave decor.

Mounts is... Hmm. Feel it less now that there's waypoints. But also currently ranger with +25% boots, so... Still, with efficient pathing through maps I only feel like I'm backtracking like 5% of the time.

I wish I could live in a world where poe2 ea was free and didn't cost 30 usd

It was your choice to spend $30 for early access. You could have just waited a year or so and picked up the game for free upon release. So, yes, PoE2 will be a free game upon release, and they make the majority of their money on cosmetics.

now it's my choice to spend money on something "free"

the loopholes are uncanny hahahaha and the gaslighting is real.

Don't use buzzwords you don't understand .

Yes it was your choice to spend money on something known to be free in the future. Nobody forced you into ea. You did this 100% on your own.

You couldn't or didnt want to wait so you spent money, take it as a life lesson.

buzzwords??? you're the one changing the narrative from something literally having a price tag attached to it to calling it free in 1 year???

do you live in the future? no. lmao "buzzwords"
You don't have to use shields. Just use evasion rating to compensate 0% block chance.

All warriors and marauders are forced to use shield due Giant's blood node.

An extra slot providing resistances, HP, attributes and block chance is astronomical better than not using a shield.

Or you can use two Two-Handed Maces. Also fun. Or I used Two-Handed mace and Scepter for extra spiriti. Mega fun.

Yes you "can" do that being 10 times weaker, losing hours of progression on deaths.
a shame all these objectively better things didnt translate to being a fun game. d4 is objectively not fun, which i think is the most important aspect of playing a game, but hey atleast you can look cool in it...

uniques in d4 arent any more impressive, they are just an affix you add to a rare. Nothing unique about them.
