EXP LOSE SUCKS!! STOP DEFEND IT!

Don't give up, you can get better, you know you can. If you keep coming back for more, than think positive. Find better gear but don't pay the 3rd party sites for it or their outrageous costs.

The issue if what your able to kill and the level you are that gear is not dropping or the RNG crafting system is ruing your motivation to play.

Perhaps be critical of that instead of whaling balling.

I personally believe the xp loss is a great system, it's like the acts, unless you kill the boss on your own, you're not ready.

Wear it like a badge of honor.

another thing is, you should just stop caring about your lvl. there is no content gated by it. there is no special power you gain. all the things are there, no matter if youre getting to 92 or not. focus on progressing your character and build, not level. level comes automaticly if your character is strong enough.

This may be difficult if you're speaking to someone who hasn't played POE. Almost all the games you play will make you want to max out on level.
Maybe a compromise would be to reduce the amount of exp required for those last 10 levels so the loss does not hurt that much.

Also 99-100 taking over ten times the exp from 89 to 90 seems excessive
just skip current league and wait for the next, Dev ain't gonna make lots of change with this one
I hate to admit this but I started using exp protection omens yesterday to push 95.

Funnily enough, I haven't died since I bought it. But maybe we're all just overlooking the fact that we have these for 70ex (which should be small change for you at 94+) and they stay forever until u die. U can even resell them if you don't.

Maybe we're meant to do this.

yes it is excessive, it is extreme grind and it is intended this way. stop caring about the last levels you get nothing from. i dont get it why people are so obsessed by leveling up and getting another 0,0003% more power. it doesnt open up any content, it doesnt make a build work magically, it doesnt change your gameplay or feeling in any sense.
its simply another layer of minimalistic progression for the guys who want to grind for weeks. if youre not that person, stop caring about it and play the game.
stop dying, this isnt d4 carebear gaming.

I'm not fully on this trend of crying cause of exp loss but your statement couldn't be more wrong.

at 93+ if you're not able to get considerable character power at each level with more optimal pathing and gearing then you're doing something wrong. Sometimes one level is all you need to slot that unique gem that allows you to grab 3 notables on the other side of the tree for free.

do NOT underestimate the last 10 levels, they're the most important ones by far.
This thread sure soaked up all the git gudders.

I'm also a 92 titan, I've been playing ARPGs forever, had 99's in D2 over 20 years ago. I know a thing or two about grinding my brains out in an APRG to reach a level goal.

The current state of PoE2 doesn't even begin to justify the exp loss. Yes, I'm fully capable of leveling my 92 titan to 95, or even 100. It's the awful journey and the punishment that makes it so incredibly unappealing.

It's okay for things to be FUN. It's okay for people to want a different experience than you, and not everyone enjoys losing considerable amounts of real time, effort, and patience, for extremely small and often unfair insta-rippy deaths. It's simple.

EXP loss in the current state of PoE2 detracts from the enjoyability of the game far more than it adds, for a large majority of players.
