The Best Feedback i can give you GGG
The end game is as bad as Last Epoch.
Mapping is boring and one life per map is stupid, and this is even worse with experience loss when death. And the pet class is much worse than Last Epoch, spaced out not attacking and block on the road all the time. And they really need to let players zoom out more to see where are the projectiles coming from, they can shoot us outside of screen and we can't see them. |

This is spot on. History is just repeating itself, but not in a good way. |

The real question need to be on the table. The current team is the wrong team to lead the development, or is there specific people overriding others because of their ego and bias? It pretty clear it is not working out. It is very obvious the current Endgame is going to be the actual endgame.
You are going to fall head first and bleed to death. Path of Exile 2 is a worse version of Path of Exile 1. It is confused and play like someone's ego. It is hard not to question who exactly is the game made for? It really feel like the game is someone's pet project. And to Grinding Gear, no one want your feel. Stop talking about how you feel about the development and what decision is due to your feeling during your interview. We operate on logic and your logic is extremely illogical. It is as if it is done based on emotions. The game is not made for someone's else ego. It is not made for you. It is made for the customers. Perhaps over the years the company got used to hooking and dumping players with leagues. That era is over. You got a bigger audiences this time round. So stop pretending you are some small hippy company. Today your game survival depend on broader audiences who is sick of your feelings. Your handling of crashes, trading and locked up account is irresponsible at best, at worse, a company which is about to close down and run away. Your handling of chat modding in game is disgusting. You allowed scammers and racist running amok in game. This game remind me of a other game - Marvel Heroes Online. That game had the same smell and mindless fanboys we seen in Path of Exile 2. lete me clarify why XP loss on death is completely nonsense.
Hardcore you have death -> lose your character = absolutely nothing you can do, reroll and restart. Standard you have death and xp loss -> rinse and repeat, get back to the spinning wheel and farm more exp -> die and repeat. Now think about it, what is the design and philosphy behind this? what does it add to the player experience? Just frustration. You say "well you need to get punished for not being able to survive so we put a xp loss". Ok, yeah, fantastic, too bad most of the time you lose your XP is because of mechanics where you do not have control over. You get oneshotted sometimes for absolutely no visual clarity and clusterfuck of VFX. And its annoying to lose 2 hours of xp farm because of that. Most annoying is the fact that you have no control over what is happening in the screen and in the game, newcomers player do not even see mobs offscreen, or hidden behind a pillar because GGG does not know how to ghost 3d geometry. It really looks like the whole game is not hard per se, its hard because of shortcomings from GGG. The game has intentionally mechanics and things that you have no control over and let you die. On top of the fact that it doesnt absolutely put you in a condition to learn the game if not relying to external websites. With this i mean, give me a single reason why xp los on standard league (where i can go back and start farming again till i get killed again) is a good design if not just a frustrating loop machine. I can understand dying to a boss mechanic because i wasnt fast enough, and i agree that on hardcore you die you lose your char. But on standard? i find as stupid as having a single portal. Either cut down the amount of XP you lose, or just remove it all together. It makes absolutely no sense. |

As a newish player to the franchise I learned to deal with the XP loss. I think it is also too severe especially when you can't see what is going on half the time on screen. The amount of one shots that this game has is staggering. I would expect this on bosses and some rare monsters, but blue and white mobs have way too much power.
The speed of the game is directly related to the mob density. The more they increase the pack size the faster and more efficient you are going to have to play. This relates to my previous point regarding blue and white mobs. They can be on top of the player before a player has a chance to cast a combination of skills. They also seem to all attack in unison which can instantly eat through your ES and health, looking like a one shot when it's more like death by 100 simultaneous cuts. The monster movement speed, attack speed and aggro range needs to be looked out. Maps need more than one portal to clear them. I don't understand why the game has to be this punishing. With the one shots everywhere a player is literally one step away from death at any moment. I have died countless times because I literally peeked around a corner where a pack of mobs with some sort of rapid fire projectile all hit me at the same time from across the room. With more chances to clear the map I could more easily digest an XP loss penalty. Maybe even balance that with getting half of your lost XP back for killing the enemy that caused your death. My biggest turn off and the reason I am taking a break right now is that endgame feels like it is all about currency and gambling. Farming for actual good drops feels non existent to me. Maybe I have gone about things wrong, but it seems the only real way to get ahead is through trade. I would prefer to also have the option to grind it myself, SSF exists for a reason. Or better yet give us an actual crafting simulator instead of what we have now. |

" i didnt say they need you to hold your hands, but on the other side its not fair that game do not explain things when you have a very aggressive economy system that does not forgive you. So if i throw away a belt that could have been orb of chanced for an ingenuity and the game isnt really that clear on these things, its really bad. I might have given the bad example but even some mechanics like anointment arent explained everywhere, do you think a new player knows that you can anoint ur amulet? On top of the fact that there are completely misleading tooltips like the DPS one that everyone is trying to bump like crazy but that DPS tooltip on your gem skill is complete dogsh*t, useless, incorrect, misleading, false. that is not your damage, it doesnt take into account more than half of the stuff going on. Armor and evasion are not explained mathematically then you get poeple oneshotted left and right and rage quitting, please dont come to me saying this game is crystal clear on how things works, especially on mechanics/math. you dont have a death recap, we dont have damage logs, you are basically left at GGG mercy's on everything, which on a game like this is completely frustrating and faulty design from the start. If you do not know how arpgs work, maybe start developing crash bandicoot's style games, or mario bros. |
