No, you can't.

You have no say over what maps to run, as towers force you into certain paths. You have no way to favor layouts/maps, like you could in PoE. You have no 100% to get the content you want on the maps you want. Sure, you can increase these chances by running heaps of maps you really don't want to run, because they're awful, but still; not a 100% chance.

PoE 1 gave you more or less full control over your own setup.

"Want to run the same layout forever? Sure, you can do that, why not - if that's your jam".

The way PoE 2 forces you to run things you don't want to run is giving me a real headache, because my neighbor can hear and feel my loud "sigh" every single time I HAVE to run several Mire maps, several Augury maps and several [pick a random bad layout] maps to get to the towers, which are ALSO badly designed, even after the patch.

People whined for years that PoE 1 didn't "respect players' time", but PoE 2 takes that to a whole other level in the endgame. I think the FAR worst feature in PoE 2, is the total lack of player agency in the endgame. And when PoE 2's honeymoon period is over, and people start coming back to play a new league, this is going to burn out A LOT of players. I just can't believe we went from PoE 1 groundbreaking sandbox of an endgame to... This.

And sure, it's early access... But just the fact that they didn't WANT to give us any of this is... Disappointing, to say the least.

I just hope they take a look again at their "slow and methodical" approach to gameplay.

Instead of "massive maps with limited movement options to slow players down with a boss room that takes forever to find and a bunch of layers of RNGs to actually get what you want," I'd rather have less running around and backtracking and fight more bosses that take more than 5 seconds with actual good loots to look forward to.

This whole thing reminds me of those old-school MMOs that were designed to waste players' time as much as possible. In 2025.

It's funny because in the patch notes people were praising this patch as the best patch for any ARPG in a decade. I couldn't hold myself back from laughter, this patch was always a rushed return to work patch as GGG said themselves. Saying this patch is anything else is just dishonest.


It's so rushed that the waypoints in maps don't even work properly and are kind of useless 90% of the time.

i wished they would add some sort of waypoint so i dont have to backtrack if i missed a waypoint.
It might have served everyone better if they just gave players 3 checkpoints that we can plop down anywhere in an instance and recover from anywhere.
Agreed with OP. Game became 1 button again may be 2 sometimes due to dodge roll.

Acts were amazing and felt like playing a new modern and new ERA ARPG-Roguelike.

Endgame became PoE1 again. Just killing things , boring , simple and sometimes does not make sense full of corpses stopping you move due to death effects.

It is ok for me to put a few bucks in any game i won't mind. Act played fairly enough for any supporter packs or EA CD key.

I know how Dev working. You collect data and wait enough to fix thing due to re-trace all codes of gaming but performance issues on "end-game" maps are horrible at FPS/smooth play. I believe mobs density is about that or your servers really bad.

You re getting your EA feedbacks and feeling like GGG don't care about them. Since the game is all about grind and random casino machines i still see no currency drops on T16 fully juiced map even with %160 rarity.


Don't be like Lost Ark , when the game was its peak players gave feedback but they did not listen now they are hovering around 3k player data base even the game is still best combat-paced RPG/MMO.

A lot of people wrighting about slow pase combat, and that's ok if you haven't played poe1. But I can't understand all poe1 veterans who talks about this, because even on EA announcement stream devs showed endgame with breach, ritual and delirium. This league mechanics are about speed. So if you veteran player you should understand, there is no slow pase in the endgame, and now game works as it was intended.

By the way, despite of some reasonable points, this topic is so hilarious. Op is trying to manipulate in so infantile way, intimidating devs: your playerbase is diminishing... your playerbase will extinguish if you woun't... your playerbase will decrease... xDDD C'mon OP, you are better than this

you're so lost you think this is a poe section. lmao the game has been sold as a different combat experience.

you seem to be so aware of the development but you're unaware they wanted a to focus on a different style of combat?

also it's not like the playerbase is growing...

what does poe1 have to do with a completely different game?
