[The Newbie's guide to Loot]
I think that's a bit beyond the scope of this guide, and I don't feel confident in assessing the value of rare mods, to be honest.
Also, we aren't pretty sure those estimations will last for long. If the next patch nerfs elemental damage for instances, that may turn the tides, so I think I'll wait for now. |

" The +40% Quality also applies to flasks, which can net you a Glassblower's Bauble. Also, if you have a natural 20% Quality item of a given type, it gets you the same trade as a group adding up to 40% or more. Regarding socketed items: It's not much worth worrying about linked sockets until after you start seeing support gems (around level 15). At that point, you might consider tossing your linked gems into lower level gear you've found, but it's generally not worth accumulating a lot of low level gear just because of the links. Side note: It's usually worth picking up any one-space white items as you go, simply because they can help fill gaps in your inventory for when you return to town, and they can add up those Scroll of Wisdom scraps. Regarding generic skill gems: If you have more than all your chars can use, you can trade one skill gem of each color, along with any amulet, for an Onyx Amulet. This is a base level 20 item which has a random bonus of 10-20 to all stats. A good one is a nice candidate for Alchemy Orbing. There are other loot tricks you'll pick up. Mebbe you'll share some here. =^[.]^= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

Thank you everyone.
The new revision of the guide will happen next week, when I get some free time after the exams. It seems there is enough support to consider it for sticky. What do you forum mods think? After the revision perhaps? |

I think this should be a sticky but I also don't like to see a huge number of stickies. I'd like to see a newbie sticky thread with links in the first post to good threads like this one.
