Diablo 4 sucks, but it got one thing right that PoE 2 doesn’t

That's one hell of a way to spin "It's good that no meaningful items ever drop" OP
Poe 2 also sucks it's okay.

lol

sad but true.

diablo 4 is an exercise in how many things you can put in an arpg without any of them feeling meaningful.

90gb full of empty space.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
Could you imagine if PoE put build defining uniques onto a vendor?

Why even play the game?

I'm surprised they didn't. After all, you could gamble uniques in D2 and we all know that D2 is the pinnacle of gaming.

if you dont think trade is a good use of your time or not something you want to do then dont trade. if you dont think picking up every rare item that drops is a good use of your time then dont do it.

no ones forcing you, thats the point the guy is making.

people who play this game at really high levels usually dont pick up the majority of items, they use super strict loot filters and still leave most of what they see behind. they get more loot than people who pick up all the loot because they spend more time killing monsters.

if person A kills 50 monsters and picks up everything while person B kills 150 monsters in the same time but only picks up the very best items then person B gets 3x more of the very best items per hour.

its a game knowledge factor. a large portion of the most elite players in this game are playing solo self found hardcore mode, never trading, using strict loot filters and only picking up the most important items.

"To be good at the game, you need to go outside of the game and make a filter that hides 90% of the game" is silly and you know it. There are many games that have infinitely more unique items in them and require zero loot filters. I'm a grown many. I've been playing games for decades and never had to use one until POE. And I'm not strictly against them. I think there are many games that can benefit from them, but they should be a quality of life choice. Not an absolute necessity to even participate in the game beyond the first few days.
Easy solution, let players disenchant on the fly while your out in the bush. Shouldnt be immersive breaking in a world of magic, seems like an lowkey skill that all characters can have.

This is a great idea honestly. There’s no need for us to go back to town to disenchant.

No meaningful items drop in PoE 2 either to be honest. Uniques are terrible. Rares are 99.99% terrible and/or require “crafting” (aka orb slamming). Out of 100 trips to town you’re lucky to get one decent item. This is part of the problem, really. All these trips back to town are largely fruitless.

The only exciting loot in the game is orbs. That’s it.

Make all items drop identified. Allow us to disenchant/salvage items we filter out.
