GGG seems to be disconnected from player base and feedback. Steam charts shows it perfectly

+1 , pretty much agree with OP.

In a game this punishing, I dont want to sacrifice an affix spot that could go to life, es, resistance, etc... for magic find simply to sustain maps. Even the issue of sustaining endgame shouldnt be a problem itself! But here we are...

In a game where they've removed 99% of all movement abilities, have slowed down combat (I like this), tripled or quadrupled the size of maps and zones requiring A LOT of run back and back tracking (something gamers TRASHED Blizz & D4 for, but its acceptable here...)... yet they are seemingly adverse to the idea of movement speed implicits on boots. I wont pick up a pair of boots without movement speed. Period. Thus, my build suffers slightly too because that item slot becomes outleveled.

And then to say that the build defining choices of your experience, Trials & Ascendencies, are FINE... that the 3rd and 4th trials are meant to be plainly annoying and unfun... working as intended... tone deaf. I couldnt believe it.

A hero shooter carried by one of the biggest IPs on the planet has more traction? Dude

I know they are different genres, but good and fun to play game should keep player retention on some level no matter what kind it is.

This looks like excuse not an argument for me.

Well PoE 2 is quite different experience than PoE 1. Even in endgame. People who said that endgame is just another one-button-delete-screen gameplay based this claim on a few broken builds which will be toned down eventually. I'm currently playing Infernalist SRS Summoner and it's very different feeling than Necro Witch from PoE 1. I mean white and blue trash die pretty quickly, rare mobs take about 30 seconds to kill and bosses last for 1-2 minutes which is imo exactly the vision experience.

...and you can dodge roll. Let's call it a day.

I like it too. Point is many people thoght PoE2 would somehow be different to PoE1 and it's not. Well, it is but many things got actually worse for many people (not that I agree on all the critisism but I get it). And sorry, but there's something wrong with your minion build if your boss fights last for minutes and rares for half a minute. Reavers with no bis items pretty much delete everything. The only reason I dropped from my minion build is stupid AI (again not so much different from PoE1)
tbh Rivals barely listens too, but they added new content twice already, since launch day. Not gonna lie, I expected at least something new from this poe2 patch.
More retention and more player base than any single

Free

Poe1 league ever to exist

Think steam shows you something you don’t like 🤣
Go play Marvel Rivals.

Also, many don't play on steam.
I agree there are issues but you are delusional if you think POE2 isn't outperforming expectations. People seem to desperately want to point to "dwindling" numbers but this kind of player drop is both normal and expected. The whole "I'm right because player count!" argument just feels like trash talk and isn't particularly helpful. As with any game people get bored after some number of hours and move on.
hahaha every two days same boring post about steam ppl.
