GGG seems to be disconnected from player base and feedback. Steam charts shows it perfectly

POE2 dropped from 440k to 200k in one month.

For comparison Marvel Rivals which started on the same day with the same amount of players still keeps it and growing (11 Jan hit 640K).

Mandatory MF on equipment only to be able find anything useful or to get currency? Not a problem according to GGG.

Extremely punishing exp loss? Not a problem.

Only one portal? - Other wise people would exploit farming it (So why mobs restart then? For what purpose? If you want to not allow push bosses like in poe1 then restart hp only on bosses?

People want movement speed on boots as implicit, because without it the boots are trash? No, its fine as it is.

Broken ascendancies like blood mage without possibility to respec? - We don't know why we are not allowing respec (Mark's words on last podcast), but we are not introduce that change.

And many many more, just go trough feedback posts.

I've expected more. Years of knowledge and experience gained
from development of POE1! That's how it was promised and advertised. And still no big QOL? Still type for items (no AH)? For now POE2 seems to be not cooked enough to release it even as a beta, and I see too many steps back in comparison to POE1. Maybe it could be fun but only after couple of leagues if crafting will exist ...

Keep your vision, do not reply to biggest people concerns and we will see how many players will return to it.

And that's perfectly fine.
Tbh, they don't disconnected from their playerbase. They just simply confirming their stance that Path of Exile 2 is not made for the wider audience. It is just simply Path of Exile 1 with added dodge roll and upgraded graphic. The game is still for a niche audience.
Although I agree, Steamcharts isn't a good indicator, every new release loses most of its players during first 1-2 months

Personally I quit like a week ago and I'm not planning to return until grenades are buffed.
"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)

Which is strange, because they raved for 5 years how PoE 2 was to be different, a new experience to veterans and newcomers alike. Still waiting on that promises, maybe the will be to "veterans and newcomers alike" when Version 1.0 is released in 2030.
A hero shooter carried by one of the biggest IPs on the planet has more traction? Dude

...for a charity company. For a buisness company aiming at making money alienating large player base to catter to the needs of crazy-make-it-harder BDSM minority it is not.
My biggest issue with poe2 is terrible layouts as well as performance. I just don't enjoy micro corridors. It's a terrible map design combined with copy pasted leagues from poe1. How do you enjoy ritual that has only 20% of supposed arena available and tornado on you? How do you enjoy breach that spawns 2 mobs at at time because more cant fit into the micro corridor?
And MOST layouts are that bad.
They are also adding new layouts that have different height levels, like that one terrible forest map that bugs out half the projectile skills.

Well PoE 2 is quite different experience than PoE 1. Even in endgame. People who said that endgame is just another one-button-delete-screen gameplay based this claim on a few broken builds which will be toned down eventually. I'm currently playing Infernalist SRS Summoner and it's very different feeling than Necro Witch from PoE 1. I mean white and blue trash die pretty quickly, rare mobs take about 30 seconds to kill and bosses last for 1-2 minutes which is imo exactly the vision experience.
