So devs were relaxed and in a good mood and that's bad? They just came from holidays remember?

I'm glad they were fine and I hope they continue to be. They didn't seem aware tho
Are ppl simply able to understand why he laughed ?

Really, are ppl understanding ?

He doesnt laugh to mock ppl struggling, not at all, i will tell you why he laugh
Read carefully :

He laughs because ppl resume and trivialise and extreme hard work like it was nothing.

I perfectly now this laugh because i did have the same on some occasion. I do and sell art, digital, traditionnal, i am a drawer, and sometime, a customer with absolutely no clue who ordered a traditional piece that took me 40h + wants a radical change, and , as he has absolutely no clue, act like it was nothing, just a clap of hands. Hes the customer so i'll do, but the nervous laugh is there because he has no idea what time and effort it will cost to me, and i have to do it. Because its like this today. Hopefully most customers are absolutely nice, just a very few part are like those digusting post on this forum, thanks the gods.

They worked hard for this game, with such numbers of spell, combinations, possibilities , yes there is some really op build, and some classes/spell in disguise, but if it is real that the warrior is in difficulty, as the archmage spark is a god, slapping the face with brutal words, can shock and lead to a nervous laugh, which it was.

I cant believe ppl are that clueless, if you have any experience in work in real life you had that laugh once , when your boss, or a customer launch a bomb in your face, regardless if its true or not, it hurts.

Darth microtransaction made an amazing job being pretty honnest yet brutal but still polite presenting things, still it can hurt.

Those guys worked so hard to present this product , so hard, and yes there is many things to fix , and they know there is a freakin huge amount of work waiting them now, on top of an awfull community judging them.

But you CANT believe one second this laugh was to mock ppl playing malee, its so obvious, my freaking god.

Believe me, or not, if you never ever had that laugh in your daily work, it will come, one day or the other, prolly way sooner than later.

Will come down to a single patch that makes or breaks this game.

If they do the normal. NERF everything people use the game will die. Dealt with this for years in PoE and not about to put up with it again. Want to play a build i enjoy not chase the Fotm Build because of massive overnerfs to every build people playing.

Slowing the pace of the game down was way too much. Because they nerfed movement skills as well as made the maps much larger and much more "mazy" making them tedious and boring. Not sure why they want to slow the pace down anyway. People play Arpgs for the faster pace OP playstyle. If they want a slow pace weak character they would be playing a MMO.
No need to think too much about this - DM was being pretty brutal with his honesty and laughing can be a defensive mechanism, it can be laughing at how bad something is. Maybe they just found the way he phrased it funny (and actually it was).

It doesn't mean they don't care.

And ultimately they both agreed DM was correct and have said it needs more work.

So why is D4 essentially an abandoned game? You can just play Spiritborn and do 5-50 trillion damage per second and beat the entire game and all of endgame in less than 6 hours.

LOL I had to think what on earth are you on about here - I assume you mean blinkers? :D

It's actually a romanian expression, it may not have the same equivalent in other languages tho. Here you had some 'device' you put on horse's head to limit it's vision and be easier to control

The meaning is to have narrow/limited vision
In English, these are called blinkers or blinders.

personally I don't care about the pace

I only want to be able to play whatever build I want to play and progress through endgame without being gated by developers' incompetence and inability to balance the game

it's simple. I want to play with grenades, because that was my favourite archetype in grim dawn and I'm not interested in any other build. my explosive shot invoker is already blasting the entire screen in T18 maps but it's just boring. currently it's impossible to run +4 pinnacles on grenade builds, except the ones that use things like snipe/hammer of the gods

so why should I continue playing this game?

keep in mind that this wasn't an issue in poe 1, and it was possible to kill ubers, 80-100% deli maps with bad skills by simply overgearing and investing more currency into them. this isn't the case in poe 2

"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)

Thing is, 1 person cannot play poe1 and poe2 at the same time. If poe2 ends up in a state where only tenacious poe1 veterans would play it, willing to break through all above-mentioned design problems, there was no need to spend vast resources on developing poe2 at all. Poe1 can retain that community on its own with regular "updates as usual".

If Mr.Rogers really believes his chosen poe2 direction should remain permanently, it is weird from business sense already, before going into details. Projects like assassins's creed must spam new title each year due to being solo plot-centered game, while poe1 is already scalable.

Yeah seems like people here completely missed that overall agreement of devs that some things are broken and need some love and that changes are coming. Like warrior being underpowered, and overal melee feeling.
At this point I think whatever devs say, there are people that will always be unhappy.
I play warrior myself, and can't relate to endgame cause I'm not there yet (with almost 100h in campaign), but indeed I struggled too. Still I find solutions to most problems in game mechanics thats available. Buying stronger items, trying energy shield, switching skills. I feel really good with how it plays out in the end. And I will get that warrior to the end :D
