End game is miserable

Map sustain is terrible even with all the atlas points taken as well & the odd useful tablet , I am down to my last t14 despite being in t15's...Doryani is useless , the drops make no sense T2's dropping in T15's , Xp loss on death just feels unneeded, there is no competitive ladder in this game so why punish causals just looking to make max level. Elites for the most part drop junk , most chests are empty , any special events cause massive lag (Delerium, Breach , Strongboxes, Expedition all laggy frame killers) For a game labelled 2 this just feels like a more punishing unrewarding 1...and I enjoyed 1 immensely.

I am overflowing with maps. What the hell are you on about?

Either you're just not using alchemy or aug regal'ing your maps, or your atlas passives are not set up right.

The only maps that are hard to sustain are t16's, because you have to vaal them, and that's ok.

I get what you mean. To be honest, I felt this way in PoE1, a long time ago. I almost quit, but then I tried SSF and fell in love with it. I invite anyone who feels this way to at least give SSF a go. It mainly removes any pressure to perform, and becomes a more Zen, crafting-centric experience. You end up enjoying the journey, instead of worrying about reaching the end of content.
RNG can really screw you up in that regard.

I got to T15s doing magic waystones only (plus tablets and atlas ascendancies obviously) and ended up with 11 T15s after finishing the T14+ "quest". Then I started regaling the waystones and eventually had to go back doing T14s for a bit because I used all T15s up.

It is weird sometimes, but hopefully this gets fixed with the next patch.
Map sustain is not a problem. Endgame has plenty of terrible issues (for example dogshit leagues like Breach, Delirium and Ritual being a thing in PoE2) but map sustain is not one of them.

If you're low on map don't just regal, exalt maps as well. Or use alchemy. Use waystones on maps with bosses - bosses drop A LOT of waystones. Do Irradiated/Beyond maps. When building initial pool pick up every t9+ map and 3 to 1 them. Roll multiple maps at once, the ones with really good mods exalt to full and vaal. Have piles with maps for different uses. Make sure you use your tablets, while building initial pool use tablets that increase waystone drop chance and item quantity. 3 to 1 bad tablets when you have too many of them.

It IS a problem for many people. It wasn't really a problem for me, but some of my guildmates really have trouble progressing although they don't do anything different than I did.

No, I'm certainly not that low that I would put exalts on waystones. For me it mostly works, it was just odd that I got so many T15s in lower tiers with only blue waystones but as soon as I started actually doing T15s AND regaling them, the drop rate was so low I ran out of them eventually.

You refuse to use common currency on highest tier maps and you complain about sustain? Go away. Investing currency into maps more than pays for itself.

No, I complain about RNG having a too high effect and the facts that low-tier waystones can even drop in a T15 and that is's not possible to simply buy high-tier waystones for gold, if you really want to know.
Guys, chill. So basically, high level map sustain has high variance and needs investment. Maybe that's okay and maybe it's not. But it is what it is.

Also, I think you can technically buy maps of any tier from the NPC. You can buy infinite tier 1 maps (as your gold allows), and then just upgrade them via the reforging bench. So, a T1 map costs 5k gold, T2 costs 15k, T3 45k, and so on. Is it too expensive for high tier maps? Maybe, but it is possible.

Technically, yes, in the same way you could technically paint your house with a watercolor brush.
Even if you buy T5s (which are the cheapest compared to their tier with 9,000 gold), you'd have to pay 6,561,000 gold to get one T10 and 1,594,323,000 gold for one T15 and do 243/59049 reforges.

We'll see how it works after the next patch.

It's also possible to buy a Lamborghini by working at McDonald's. You just have to work there like 150 years.
