The things you hated the most about the Game/Design - POLL

on-ground death effects.
off-screen attacks
lack of mobs in maps. It's giant map with an echo
getting locked into an animation while mobs beat me.
the greyed out map quest thing. whatever it is.
the campaign quest system stinks
the weird random hit that suddenly does all your life as damage.
"
Most of the things you've included are fine for me. My two biggest issues are:

-endgame atlas is tedious. I want easier ways to customise and navigate it. The current meta of using tablets/towers/low level maps to potentially reveal citadels is not fun

-stash management. I want modern efficiency options such as "move all currency items to stash" and even "move all affinity items to stash", where clicking it would move everything that you've assigned affinities to into the relevant stash tabs.
And a 'sort' function, that groups items together by type, level etc.

I have hope we will one day have more options in the endgame, but I don't have faith they will ever add QoL features to inventory. They didn't care to in poe1 and clearly wasn't a priority for poe2. But it's usually why I stop playing for the day, or just tab out and look at something else after completing a map. I really cba manually sorting waystones and gems and clicking currencies and all that. It's exhausting.

I agree - i honestly even thought of a werid temporal solution.

I seriously thought about putting all my tabs on public at a price no one will contact me for - that way i could brows trough all my items with all filters of the trading-post and even message myself or just see the exact place where its stored. But i doubt that would be good for the trading post.

Act three you open the time portal and now the waypoint in the future doesn't work. This forces you to pass through the time portal to the past, wait, move to the waypoint then tele to home.
Act three ziggurat(future) placement of EVERYTHING is too far apart.
Gas arrow ONLY explodes when an enemy is ignited or on burning ground. Gas touching your flame wall, environment flames, or enemy flames does not explode it.
Reforging waystones is a massive waste of time.
Delirium monsters spawn in and push you across the map.

I hate the first boss. It has the phase where it spawns wolf and ur surounded by fog and you cant do any damage. I really hate boss fights that don't respect your time and invulnerable boss phases are never fun. It just wastes your time.

Warrior is complete dog shit and needs to just be totally reworked. It feels so bad to play and is one of the worst classes I ever played in a game. If not THE worst.

Shit exploding on the ground is never fun. Please stop. Make the game difficult in other ways rather than this lazy ass shit.

I don't like how hard the game is at first then how easy it becomes later on. The curve is like reversed.

Act 2 is a cool idea on paper but replaying it is such a tedious pain in the ass going to zone to zone.

Losing items on the ground on death isn't fun. It's never been fun. No one has ever said in their entire lives that this is their favorite part of a game. No one looks on this fondly. The only time anyone thinks about it is how much they hate it. It's a shitty and lazy way to punish people for dying and only makes people rage quit.

Unique design overrall is really terrible and boring. Especially when compared to like Last Epoch...

I don't like that skill gem slots are tied to item drops.

Most of the support gems are kinda worthless or uninteresting.

Music is just.... there. It feels like the bare minimum was done for it.

Game needs more of a way for you to "over level" more easily. Maybe by having gems go up in quality or something with levels or whatever. This will help people be able to do more fun and silly builds instead of feeling forced into "meta" builds.

Honour needs to be reworked. Instead of making it so if you run out you just fail. You can have it give you extra rewards based on how much you get. I think this has a nice balance and makes trials (which are the worst part of the game hands down) less of a nightmare to deal with.

Also trials in general. It's not fun. I don't like it or the Chaos one. It's never something I look forward to and I always dread having to do it. I would love to see them completely replaced with something else. Also feels like there is 0 reason to do them other than your points. These are definitely holding the game down and I think will be one of the biggest reasons people will eventually drop the game.

Personally, my biggest issues are:

* Defenses in general. This is probably the biggest problem with the game atm imo. A ton of build options are just garbage and it pretty much kills my desire to play tbh.

* The trials. They're just horrible game design. They're entirely RNG based and heavily favor ranged. The bosses fucking suck, and some of the RNG choices literally just kill your entire run. It is one of the least enjoyable components of ANY game I have ever played.

* Skill balance Melee skills are way too goddamned slow, too small, do too little damage and need hyper armour.

* Class balance Lots of bugs, weird interactions, and super under tuned ascendancies.

* The economy Everything is fucked expensive and feels super unobtainable. If I wanted to taste late stage capitalism I would go outside.

* Trade in general People not responding, price fixing, hyper inflated prices -- They need to automate this shit. I fucking hate having to whisper people. It is one of the shittier aspects of this entire game. There is ZERO social value to having some shitbag who doesn't speak english LIE to you with a listed price and then try to haggle more money out of you. We need an auction house.

* Some of the end game modes (Delirium/Breach/Strong Boxes/Expedition) Stopping to loot in this game feels like garbage. They should just drop loot in your hideout or something after you leave a map/die or whatever.

Delirium is super buggy (They did fix some of this)... but as a concept it's just super goddamned annoying. I should be able to control when it ends 100% of the time. I hate when it just ends cause my character isn't super fast. It completely kills build diversity.

Breach is super overtuned. Either you blow everything up before it does anything or the enemies just swarm and stunlock you... Half the time the breach gets fucked because of terrain... It's rarely satisfying.

Breach and Delirium feel like either CBT or getting edged and not getting to finish most of the time.

Strong Boxes are just a massive waste of time, and they're disruptive to the flow of mapping.

Expedition is also super disruptive to mapping. I don't wanna stop and read so I don't spawn a bunch of enemies that brick my build. I just do not enjoy these at all. Didn't like them in POE either.

Ritual is also stupid cause you're trapped in a tiny circle with a million mobs that swarm and stunlock you -- so you either get pinned down and die or you instantly kill everything. It's not fun.

POE in general has a major issue with every problem being solved with killing everything before you have to deal with anything... and then the game just becomes easy... while everyone else is getting fisted by the hulk. They might as well not have mechanics if that is the desired gameplay... cause the people who are having fun aren't dealing with any of them. I made an archmage spark character that kills everything as it spawns/from off screen and can oneshot bosses with lightning conduit. The game is a joke on that character compared to my warrior, and every other character I have that doesn't have obscene screen clearing damage.

Basically they have a bunch of pitfalls for new players to fall into, that experienced players, or people playing meta builds just don't have to deal with -- and all it does is make the game suck for people who aren't in the know, for absolutely no reason. It's bad game design imo.

* Some map layouts are terrible
* Towers suck
* There is honestly too much RNG for me. I swear if someone made a game like POE but instead of dropping useless items it just dropped either actually good rares, or currency/crafting items that had WAY more deterministic crafting that was abundant enough that everyone could use it and you could only trade with friends -- it would probably crush the ARPG market. POE is basically a casino and half the regulars are literally addicts.

* One map one life + RNG as a gateway to most endgame activities just feels like a huge barrier to entry that is probably always going to prevent me from doing any pinnacle bosses -- which is the entire reason to play the game.

* Combat. In general, combat in this game needs a ton of work. The dodge roll sucks as far as a roll goes.

- It needs proper iframes.
- If enemies are going to swarm you in dozens -- it needs phasing.
- Combat needs to make up it's mind. It either needs to be slow and methodical or fast and arcade-like.

Using slow attacks or abilities with bad clear speed literally makes your character suck at almost all of the end game activities.. and there is no boss rush mode -- so having a slow character that is good at fighting bosses is absolutely pointless.

They need to go back to the drawing board on how combat is supposed to feel. If it's supposed to be slow and meaty -- then the maps need to be smaller and there should be fewer enemies... fights with enemies should feel like a duel... not like rolling the dice every time you attack hoping you don't get stunned and die while you wind up an attack.

I dunno.

Love the game... but it has so many problems right now. I got like ~300 hours in.. which is a ton... but I can't keep playing till they fix some shit and add some more classes/weapons. The fact that they released the game without axes/swords/daggers and have all the skills locked to weapon types just feels really bad... I'm a STR/Melee andy but I hate the mace skills. They got a great canvas, hopefully they don't fuck it up.
Updated the poll results in first post.
Just noticed - i forgot skill-interrrupt system.

For some reason different skills act differently - some interrupt, some dont this is rather annoying and also the reason why lots of skills dont trigger if you want them to.

So what are your priorities? Do you seriously not care about wasted time with storage between trials etc.?

The only problem I have with the inventory is collecting splinters from breach.

Or the really huge maps that require lots of backtracking trough empty spaces?

What about huge maps without need to kill all rares? My dream is bigger maps than PoE1 with boss every map to complete.
There was no option for me in the pool.

To be honest i see those things completely different:

Trials - I really enjoy them - they are interresting and varied while not having too insane debuffs. The rewards also are good.

Trade - well people play the game obviously not everyone will react in any situation and there also seems to be problems with the trading site showing already sold items too long.

I am completely against automation since i think that would destroy core elements of the game. An auction house pretty much destroys the expirience of finding items yourself for yourself since you can get any item at any time instantly - this also ruined Diablo 3 at release.

I would suggest:

People faking prices etc.:
- beeing able to report people that fake prices or try to get more with a fixed price -- enough reports (should be easy to automatically check to some extent) should lead to punishment:
-- for example Trade Ban -> 4 weeks or pay 10.000 Gold -> each new Trade-Ban should cost more to undo
(Nobody is forcing anyone to do fixed prices)

People not responding:
- i think its different reasons, mass of messages, playing the game, afk etc.

I would suggest:
- Websitetrade gets its own messages window
- also add a system similar to social where you can easily see the requests listed
- if the item isnt in a players storage anymore instantly do an automated "already sold" reply
- redo the system - trading shouldnt be done via the normal group system - its annoying - make it its own "tradeparty" system where people then can meat up
- add a system to define prefered trade-spot -> when seller has a hideout -> Hideout - if not ACT1 City - with easy to use direct teleport to it and back to where you were.

Combat
- I like the dodge roll
- I would hate i-frames -> i think they are a garbage mechanic to be honest
- swarming enemies are hardly a problem if you move with that in mind - also you can roll out of 99% of groups if you pick the right direction after the patches

Poll update for 46 Players that took it. The more the better maybe its at least some indicators for the DEVs.
