Herald of ice is to strong
Herald of Ice and Herlad of Thunder are both to strong atm.
Don't know about Herald of Fire but posible too if it works the same way. As Invoke Monk who runs both I can tell you Herald of Thunder is much more impactfull for clearing maps then Herald of Ice. Just in very dense Breaches or Rituals Herald of Ice starts to outperform Herald of Thunder. Ice Strike and Bell are just to kill the boss. Everything even rare monsters are cleared by both Healds! |

You should work as a lobbyist in real life. Imagine paying 50K USD per year for Havard and Yale and when you get your degree or masters you start to make shit tons of money and you think it is so stronk that the yearly fees need to be jacked up to 500K USD per year so others will need to do alot more to get a quality education. Nerfing the poor so you can have your fun. Rampage IGN : Cool_Hamster

In early access there is no nerfing or buffing ... just balancing :D.
We all knew there would be skills/mechanics that are way WAY to strong and NEED to be balanced! Stop crying about "nerfs" as there are no nerfs! |

" EXACTLY! People claiming that the Ice and Thunder Herald is OP, are ACTUALLY really saying that no viable alternative exists which is just as good. The Melee focussed ground slamming attacks could be just as good for clear if GGG were to buff them and make them faster. There are several MOBS (Vultures, Quadzilla, guys with the sticks) which are able to use very effective and fast moving ground slam style attacks that are very effective. Why can players not use these same attacks? But actual real balance is a lot harder than simply nerfing something. |

" Agree with this wholeheartedly. Nerfing and taking away what was once enjoyable in the game, no matter how strong it was, feels bad for everyone that was using it. Instead give other options that are just as strong or make the content harder gradually. Of course this is easier said than done, but too many nerfs in a row, or too large of nerfs will also leave a sour taste in players' mouths EA or not. I quit D4 when they nerfed necromancer shadow corpse explosions which could be stacked 32 times, down to 5. Destroyed my build and ever since then I've had a bad personal relationship with the game because it just f*cked my build that I had spent time to test and create. On top of that though, there were just no alternative options in which to go about building that character. |

Don't worry they will nerf Herald, Archmage and spark to the ground without bringing other things up! And they will do it BEFORE addressing the dupes and and stealing exploits!

No, herarlds are fine, what are not fine is martial weapons have too much damage. Nerf all martials weapon damage, speed, and crit, not heralds. Maces and crossbow have way too much flat damage, q-staves have way too much crit and attack speed, bows is too lenient for being range and needs to have its flat damage cut by at least half if not 75% (while making all projectiles can't travel further than 4m).
But before nerfing martial weapons, spells like spark and "Cast on X" needs to be nerfed. Make spark projectile have fixed proj speed and can't travel further than 3m while capping max proj by 5 for each cast, make "Cast on X" have baseline of 10 seconds CD and can't be reduced below 5 seconds, and also make all spells have % mana cost instead of flat. Spell is just way too strong and deal way too much damage. Then after that, nerf minions. Automated gameplay is a no no, and minion is also somewhat an automated playstyle. Minions should have their damage cut in half and only max of 5 minions can be summoned at all times, also applied to totems. |

Well, there are tons of other skills that let you trivialize most stuff.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a general 50% dmg nerf across the board. |

" Not bad not bad, had a laugh :). But as we all know GGG ... next major Patch Notes will be 100 pages long anyway ^^. |

Yes, I had to sacrifice ~30% of dps on my deadeye and had to buy 50 div worth of jewels and 35 div bow to have enough cold damage to freeze and explode whole screen without Polcirkeln, because I need to use rare rings. If anything should get nerfed, it supposed to be the Polcirkeln, not herald of ice.
