Please nerf Herald of Ice, its clearing potential is to strong.

Currently feels like every popular build is incorporating Herald of Ice with the Polcirkeln unique ring for easy explosions. This is making endgame builds pretty stale.

This also makes ascendancies like the Witchhunter's Zealous Inquisition feel even worse than they already are by comparison.


Yet another thread proving that the game should be balanced around SSF, and let trade leagues burn.

I mean they nuked armor break explosion chaining (called it a bug, it wasn't) and it was significantly weaker than Ice herald (capped at 100% attk dmg vs ice herald hitting for 200%+ attk dmg).

Chances are they nuke its dmg to fractions because polk ring isn't the only way to propagate it. You can use Herald of lightning with cold infusion and herald of ice with lightning infusion to get them to proc each other (with enough damage).

Since they aren't likely to remove polk ring or herald of ice I think a dmg nerf (making it much harder to propagate) is most likely. I think they will make it a 25-75% weapon dmg scaling from lvl 1-20 gem. Only that level of gutting dps will make propagation hard to achieve. Even then, I am sure some builds will be able to abuse it but they will have to spec more resource to make it happen.

why do i keep hearing this? why do you guys speak for the developers? no where in any preview have the devs said you are meant to feel like a god playing this game. that is just something that you guys want because it is a stale stereotype of the ARPG genre. where nothing is challenging, everything is easy.... everything is overpowered.... yawn.

it's not a good foundation for a game. they should nerf all of these overpowered ''god'' skills and create a more balanced methodical game. the best hours in my ARPG experience have been act 1 and 2 and then things became way too easy....

PLEASE GGG.... maintain the challenge or make some harder modes. as soon as you know what you are doing this game feels like a cakewalk. I'm self imposing solo self found and nerfing myself by not even putting runes in my weapon... just to try and create more challenge.

It´s literally the point of the game, get stronger and stronger until you feel like a god a trivialize the game, you could argue that it shouldnt be this easy to do it, im of the same opinion, but if you invest in your build you should be able to trivialize the game except pinnacle bosses (wich tier 3 and 4 versions should be buffed alot, making the way more resistant to ailments and giving them way more life/toughness).

GGG know which skills are being abused, it’s basically what they’ve done for years is look for the top 1% and how they’re doing it.


Just to point out what a terrible take that is... They nerfed melee's Volcanic Fissure and not Archmage.

In PoE I Detonate Dead, how long was it the best skill and most OP spell in the game? So long that it was perma banned from the Gauntlet. What about how OP bow was/still is in PoE 1?

They've nerfed melee into the ground when less than 10% were left playing any kind of melee skill (due to how bad melee is) and still kept nerfing it more in PoE 1 that cArn stopped playing melee. So, while I wish what you said was correct, the facts of what they buff and nerf does not reflect that in the slightest bit.

Agreed. They should nerf nuke the damage that there is zero chance of chain shattering mobs, so people can realize how bad melee skills are.
I don't see the problem.

If you think the skill is to OP for you, don't use it.
If you think it's useful but it scales too high for your personal tastes, then don't level it up and leave it low level at a scale that feels comfortable for you.

If you think the skill makes the game "too easy" for YOU, then YOU don't have to use the skill.
This is not a PvP, competitive player game.

If you want a more challenging game because you feel that this game should be very difficult, that's OK. Play one of the several off-META builds using skills that nobody else uses because they are too slow and revel in the personal satisfaction that you are playing a game you want to play in the way you want to.

And others will play the game in the way they want to.

This! Enough of the nerfs. When will armour & melee get reworked? When will the other ascendencies drop?

Many people, myself included, stopped playing PoE1 almost decade ago because over time, they nerfed melee to the ground and there are better caster power fantasy games out there

The allure of ARPGs is the *build variety*. The draw of Diablo/PoE is market drama. I came back for PoE2, as a caster this time so that my time isn't wasted.

If they won't fix melee this time around, at least I haven't wasted ~200 hours of my life

Can't get Temporalis (no hit run) as melee. Must meta build melee to stack ES & optional evasion along with Hand of Wisdom. To get a viable melee build, play a caster/deadeye then farm for gear

So the game is pigeonholed in how 2/3rds of the build variety is supposed to work.

At this point, we need a melee overhaul/rework, new chase items/uniques and new ascendencies. NOT another caster/deadeye nerf because melee sucks at the moment.
