It's pedantic and presumptuous. I'm assuming you are referring to the Tencent/RMT comment?
First of all, we don't have access to the truth in this case, so nothing is being corrected, it's just another opinion.
Secondly, you don't know the intention of the original comment. It was probably not meant seriously but more as a joke, at least that's how I read it, it can be fun to point out connections like that. Tencent IS a chinese company and most RMT IS done by chinese as far as I know. It's a fun conspiration nothing more.
Derailing the thread and making a big deal out of it is obnoxious though.

It's pedantic if someone goes on even after he got corrected multiple times, not the other way around. Anyway.
I am actually aware of the "intention of the original comment". It's not meant as a joke. That's proven in other conversations about the same thing, but not as clearly formulated here because of forum rules.
Ever wondered why there is no "it's just a funny conspiracy" or "it's meant as a joke you could think about"? Yeah.
