Despite all the issues with Silverfist....this is more a classic case of not understanding how Armour works, and how the tooltip PDR is misleading.
You did NOT have 88% pdr against his crit, or even 75% against his normal attack. Far more likely, you had less than 33% reduction or even essentially none at all. This is an ARMOUR PROBLEM, not a Silverfist problem.
That illustrated PDR is only ever remotely true against basic, white mobs. And even then.....it doesn't tell the whole story.
The odds are pretty good the damage mitigation fell to 10 or 15% against the slam.
Funny thing is an ES character tanks the hit. Give the ES character any chance to recover and they'll perma-CC / DPS the monkey down.
My approach to the monkey was wait for a slam, HOPE that he won't do it twice in a row, and hit him with the biggest DoT you can and hope that effectively kills him. It didn't for me so I had to wait until his slam was on cooldown (?) again.

Being able to understand how armour works will not help you tank this boss. Nothing will. So remove Silverfist until armour is fixed. There's no reason for hardcore players to keep losing characters for trash design.
The idea is not to tank him.
I've tried every class so far and don't even bother scaling armor on any of them after A1 including warrior. It's worthless in 2.
