They found time to nerf mace yet again, they could spend that time on finding solution to those hacks, fixing infinite dps casters, fixing dupe, but no they nerf volcanic fissure instead.

there is a bug with temporalis. people dupe them or whatever thats why the price crashed

i heard that people found a way to dupe items and thats why you see soe many cheap temporalis
I dont see how offering items for cheap would be used as bait to hack people, if anything you want to target the people who are rich no ?

Temporalis going for 80 instead of 200 is still getting people with enough bankroll to be "worth" hacking. Who knows whats really going on but there are certainly some issues going on right now. GGG gonna be busy monday.

Just to make it clear despite my other comments here, im not in any way against what you are trying to do, me and others that commented similar things simply think that this thread belongs in the discussion forum along with an asterisk explaining it is currently nothing more than speculation.

Fair enough, and as we are currently witnessing this forum has a way of self-moderating anyway.
In any case for what its worth, i genuinely advise you to stay away from flavour of the month 3rd party tools etc and only allow logins to the most trusted of sites (filterblade, etc). Combined with 2fa and a solid password should make your account extremely resilient to penetration attempts outside of social engineering.
Appreciate the discussion and the heads-up, if this is indeed happening in such a large scale - even if for different reasons - this needs to get attention.

In addition, im surprised no one called it out yet:
OP calls on players to lock down their own hideout, while warning them of "suspiciously priced chase items".
This is in direct contradiction to what every poe player knows: the trade takes place in the seller's hideout, not the buyer's...
If someone lists a cheap temporalis, i pm them and they invite me to a party, the next thing that happens is me going to their hideout - not them coming to mine.
Please do not read between the lines here - this could very much be a real and novel security threat to accounts, but it is worth noting that the way it is presented in this thread reeks of populist fearmongering tactics.

IF something like this was happening (which i doubt) 2fa wouldnt help, just like most other cookie/session hijacking.
regardless, iirc the game doesnt have any 2fa unless you have it on steam.
