no way i am doing this campaign every season
these maps are way to big, and the checkpoint system is not enough. there needs to be triple the amount of check points minimum if they are going to keep these large maps

the campaign buffoonery all started with Chris's interview with ziggyd years ago. instead of the 3 difficulties, Chris and the team went to changing that into more acts. and he said it's even a longer playthrough. so the longer campaign you are experiencing now is most likely an intentional design decision.
the problem is exacerbated because the lack of movement skills in poe2 too edit: fun fact, this all stemmed and came to fruition because back then, everyone was qqing on reddit about the difficulties and playing through them "felt redundant" (but it was actually shorter). this is just yet another example of the game being shaped by reddit tears. add it to the list "Path of Exile's engine is currently modern, lean and fast." - Chris Wilson, September 19th, 2019 "It looks like we broke something with 3.10.0. I think cruel seems a little bit easy, but the rest of the campaign seems awesome. The campaign takes a while, but as long as it's engaging, interesting content(like the boss fights) I'm fine w/it.

With some tweaks to the maps it will be fine. Campaign is way shorter than it is in PoE1.

Speedrunners can't even do PoE2 in that time yet, even when Cruel is exactly the same thing as the first 3 acts except easier. Bro, if you're gonna give GGG props, I respect that, but you're whiteknighting in a feedback forum. People are here posting legitimate grievances and you are like "nah you're imagining it, and it works like that because it does". It's dumb. The whole point of feedback is to make the game better. It shouldn't make your experience worse giving credit to other's opinions, if it does, then get off the feedback forum and go play lol. |

I don't understand the issue. If there's a new season, I suppose there will be new mechanics that pop up in every part of the campaign just like in PoE and what difference does it make where you encounter these?

whether its shorter or longer, the game has a d2 vibe to it.
i love it. but at the same time, if i'm expected to restart from scratch every new league. i ll be sticking to standard. farming from scratch is tedious. ascending is tedious. its the double edged sword of having a deliberate gameplay design. and to the people saying its gonna be like poe1. if you're right. i ll just quit poe. from my belief, nerfs and reworks are coming. i really like the deliberate playstyle. blowing things up on the screen IS fun but a slower paced game can be fun too. path2 is supposed to be the slower paced game. if it isnt then i m out.
