First of all, it's violation of ToS.
Second, buying currency in EA is worst investment i could ever imagine - GGG clearly stated that on actual release of game every EA character will be moved into "Dusty attic" League without possibility of interacting with post-release leagues

It will be banned, but the bots keep bothering, even in private messages. And what is GGG doing? GGG bothers players who pay for their service, and who didn't say anything particularly negative, but the bots are still there.

Sure, as it goes probably ewerywhere from WoW to D4 for all time these games exists.

My point, in general, was about comparison of aerial benefits (in EA) of such investments and risks.

Tried to support OP's bad mood with a joke, but he seems to be interested in all-out mode.
Cheers!
I've been playing SSF in both POE's for a long time now. Even before SSF was a thing i just never traded.

The thing in POE1 is they added Benches so you could craft. A lot of things, exactly to your liking.

Want move speed, craft cheap or expensive move speed! Want +HP, craft weak or strong +HP! Want +Res, craft +Res!!!

But now we have nothing. We have easy dropping exalts that u waste for nothing. There's no aimed crafting anymore.

Crafting means you use your expertise, and items at hand, to create something. Crafting does not!!!! mean "random stats". That's not how crafting works. Crafting is always a aimed process that gives you what you want.

You dont cook steak IRL and after adding some more salt, it morphs into fish, or pasta. Not how that works. If you add a ingredient, you get a result based on that ingredient.

If you lay tiles, and add tile chaulk, it doesnt magically liquify the tiles and turns them into metal or wood. Not how that works.

Do my bumbling metaphors make sense? Crafting is an aimed process.

What we currently have is pure luck without any means to manipulate.

This is how I understand people who hoard and trade. I wasted nearly all the EX i found on crafting and got 1 good item out of it, movement speed 20% added to boots ,right before the first trial.

Ever since then, on 6 characters, not one good regal or exalt.

And since you cant re-roll anymore since Alteration orbs dont exist or never drop, havent seen one yet, you cant even craft the base, or rather, re roll the base to THEN craft it properly.

Right now its a game of "find the perfect item". If you don't then good luck, you will have to trade with someone who did find it and doesnt need it.

The game is so cooked, dude.

Sure! It's gambling.

IMO: So spending currency even in the rapidly inflating market is still makes more sence to me than feeding it to RNG

Quite of course! And the natural point of action is for GGG to make crafting more engaging, aka, starter town crafting tables, or crafting tables at Act2 maybe. Or unlocking Act1 Cruel, but thats a far stretch.

But throwing a bunch of sand on a plate hoping it forms into a lobster tail meal is quite delusional, and we are currently not in a position to craft anything at all.

Last qualm, the "just farm for gear", lmao.....

Rings and stuff dont drop. Currency does hardly drop. Vendors dont reset until you level up. What do the people saying "just farm" want us to farm, whites?

If you do get a blue or yellow every now and then, thats cool, but not at all enough to get currency to craft. So even if you farm currency, you are doing it for ever and ever more.

If you find a blue base item, and brick it with transmute and augment, then.... you can throw it away. You can literally throw it. You cant make it white, you cant reroll the blue stats. You can only waste Regal and Exalts. And brick it even more.

Ah what am I getting so engaged about, it is what it is.

I fully agree with u, but unfortunately GGG doesn't. They never did and it was clear whenever Harvest dropped. GGG doesn't wan't crafting to be deterministic, not even a little bit. They like the dopamine rush of "slamming".
They did everything to undo Harvest after that, but couldn't take it completely out of the game, because ppl would riot. That's why they redid the whole crafting process in PoE2, along with some other reasons ofc.

I really like the current PoE1 crafting system, where experience and knowledge is rewarded. If u don't know what u're doing, it's gambling aswell. But if u have alot of knowledge (and use some 3rd party sites) u can deterministicly craft something really awesome.

There is no crafting.
Its inflation cause orbs dont leave the game.
Nobody crafts anything becasue it not worth it.

It sounds shitty I know to players who think PoE1 currency system is an art.

They need to drop it all and just use gold.
Thats what is confusing new people and leading to the odd market.
The only value of an orb at the moment is a perceived value of rarity.

It has value because it is hard to find but thats about it.
Nobody is going to RNG craft anything .. why would you?.. seriously justify crafting a single thing! it is not worth the risk.

So just go to gold, it drops , you pick it up , you spend it at the store to buy your gear.

No confusing currency conversion.. the value is obvious from what you can buy at the store.

Ditch orbs , go GOLD ONLY!
its what it is now ..... an orb by any other name still smells like ..... gold.

I wouldn't go that far. A fair amount of players slam their items and high end crafting is possible. The problem is that the darrn ritual stuff is way to rare and valuable to be used in a meaningful way by SSF players(which is how the game should be balanced, if u want easy go trade fine) or even solo players in trade that grind a lot.

Also Orbs are great it's just a problem when they remvoe the fundamental essence of their crafting system, which is the alteration orb. And also the scouring orb to some extend because it's jsut silly to pick up so many white items to begin with.

We are not testers! We are not paid (on the contrary).

No one is saying it's a finished game etc. But such critical bugs are obliged to catch and premise!
Instead we get a broken economy for the 2nd week of the game, are you kidding me to justify this?!

GGG is on vacation. If the game was released in November like it was supposed to, we wouldn't have these problems right now. Unfortunately we have to wait until the holiday ends, it is what it is and there's nothing we can do about it but wait and accept the situation.
