lets be real. stop talking about poe1.. no ones going back to that game
" i dont get why people keep saying this. to be clear, every single poe1 player wants poe2 to be a good game in the first place. most of the poe players want both games to be good and successful. i did not read a single complain about something being different than poe1, people are complaining because many things are worse than poe1. i dont mind if its different, but it has to be a good reason for it. take ascendancy for example. its different, but do you think its better? no take crafting, its different now. do you think its better? no the atlas is way different. is it better? clearly no. i could pull up many more examples. i dont have any problem with things being different. but god damn let me be disappointed if things are worse in my opinion. This has to be trolling, right?
PoE1 and PoE2 are different. It might be the same overall genre, but while not as different as D1 to D2 was when it comes to loot style/inventory management, there are many gameplay changes that people either like or hate. The response to your thread should be a good indication that the overall community isn't exactly choosing PoE2 over PoE1. I prefer PoE2 (as I see its potential when they'll have all 12 classes/skills and if they manage to make the endgame and crafting enjoyable), but I totally understand why many people would prefer the PoE1 experience, even if PoE2 was in release state with all classes and relatively flawless endgame. While some players will obviously play both or end up playing PoE2 at release, many will stay with PoE1 because they prefer the PoE1 build customisation, gameplay loop and maybe the endgame? Who knows. PoE1 is a more mature game (as more established, with more content) and to some, that's all they want. Some people also don't enjoy the early PoE2 campaign being slower : That's enough to put many people off. So far for me, the biggest letdown, if we exclude the crafting and endgame, is how limited the skills are in PoE2. Even with the full 12 classes, I doubt PoE2 will have the same number of skills we had in PoE1, and there’s still the issue that most of the skills are weapon locked, which brings build diversity down by a lot. " Poe2 numbers on steam have halved since launch already. The games won't die but somethings gotta give |

Bittersweet but true, you can't go back in life. Those of us who chose to pay for PoE 2 early access have already moved on. Everyone else will follow when the game releases. We will all remember PoE 1 fondly, but PoE 2 is what we have now. We want it to be good, and we want it to take the place of PoE 1 for us. If it is good, we will stay. If it ends up sucking for any reason, we will move on to another game.

" You´re in for a ride, the depth on PoE 1 is 100x what you have in PoE 2 in every area, be it crafing, itemization, uniques, passive tree etc, people keep comming up with crazy builds crafted with alot of brainstorming, it´s really a beautiful game that leaves a mark despite the visual fidelity being abit dated now, i recomment starting with a build guide as PoE 1 isnt easier than PoE 2 as people claim, if you go blind making your own build like in PoE 2 you will probably hit a big wall in the endgame, the tree is complex and gives you so much freedom, same with gear affixes. And the endgame is the whole cake, from the minute you start mapping, to the minute you start getting atlas passive, start using scarabs, and end up with massively juiced maps full of packs and mechanics, it´s awesome. Have fun bro. IGN - Slayonara
