Replace Trials with Labyrinth
|
I mean the old lab wasn't shortened down, like the new one.
So far Ultimatum is the way to go - hating sanctum since sanctum sucked you into its vortex in sanctum league Farming salt on the forums since 2024

" Yeah I like that you can do all 4 in the same one. I did my third in sanctum with a friend and it was pretty easy with the right relics |

I hated labyrinth. They could add it as a third option for ascendancy though but I wouldn't play it.

Yes, bring us back Izaro !

Or just have trials or lab as a choice. Make Trails hugely rewarding like make divines rain lol. This is the way.

Trials are just bad. At least you can manage the mods so they dont apply to the boss. But having to do FOUR Floors is slog and half plus you lose just from honor attrition.
It is bad luck to apoint but when your first room is "Cant gain any honor...reset at the end of the floor boss" You only have so much agency in traversing the Sanctum. In POE1 I start the Sanctum bit in Act 10 and bail so it a gets the mission off my queue. and sell/toss every book I get in maps. Ultimatum is the worst. It is the first thing I pick in POE1 to remove from my atlas when I get the chance. But all of those mods apply to the boss fight. At least with LABs you can work to make the Izaro fight easier (or you make it harder to get more keys). With these ideas, you can only make the fight harder without the payoff. For you "devs said poe2 is different" crowd... if its so different why pull the worst elements of poe1 into it? ALso... (from the devs themselves) POE2s endgame was originally meant to dovetail with POE1's endgame. |
|
" In PoE1 the clear time depends on the build. If you zoom zoom you can clear it fast but you risk dying to traps a lot and if you skip the boons you also loose effectiveness |

" That's why having options is always the best solution. Having your playstyle bricked by certain mandatory mechanics or RNG is those mechanics is one the worst design PoE 1 and 2 have. |
|
" So, you think it's fun to get Eff you'd by poorly implemented one shot mechanics or on death effects that you can barely see/not see at all? You're on your own with that. |
