So I did take a look, thanks. Not in full, maybe went around half way as it's getting late and I suppose the part of interest was at about the 6 minute mark in regards to exploits, not waking up with someone having 10 billion in their bags and the economy being sacrosanct, correct ?

If yes, then I made my case on my previous reply, I won't repeat myself. You can refer to it even though you dismissed it, it's pretty clearly stated within the last 4 paragraphs.

Respectfully, if some don't understand what an EA means and what's the point of it or the difference between a "launch" ( production/final/release call it as you please ) as that's the wording that Chris uses in the video, it's not GGGs fault or anyone else's in general.

how tf is this not a lauch? EA is still a launch lmao.

Sweet, feel free to continue this way.

If you're ignoring half of the context because it suits your "smart" replies, then all I can say is good luck :) .

Well it's now 8.45pm on Monday in NZ, the third business day back and it's been 3 weeks since we heard anything about which way the game is headed (sorry no, I guess we know how they feel about CI counting as Low Life).

I know that patches take time but I would just like to see some comms about intent/direction so that I have some idea about what to play. A lot has been uncovered in the last 3 weeks, are they tracking all of that?

Respeccing is expensive and the campaign is kinda long. I've played the game a lot and I cannot honestly say that I have any sense for what GGG's baseline of an acceptable power level would look like right now. The things they said about the game don't at all match the experience in endgame where the best strat is to kill before you even see them. Everything will apparently get nerfed except for Armour and Quin's Xbow Bleed Witch.

To those saying "it's not launch, it's EA"... yes, it is EA, and we should totally expect bugs, balance problems and progress losses during EA (particularly when we switchover from EA to Release). However, it is also a launch, and launches generally require a heightened level of support because that's when the massive wave of issues get uncovered.

When this game leaves EA and goes to 1.0 there will be far less concern with with devs going on holiday for 3 weeks because thanks to the community uncovering issues now, that should comparatively be a pretty boring event.

I don't know. I've been working on tech projects for 13 years and our December releases have always involved leave planning, on-call/reach-back arrangements, skeleton crews and the expectation of reduced holidays that will be made up for later (and are, I don't live in the US).
GGG cashed out on the respect/fame earned for last 12 years with a cheap and lazy asset flip.
What kind of communication you expect?

Don't release your "early access" game right before the holidays then disappear claiming its holiday season. This is the biggest period in your company's history and you're leaving the part time bug fix guys to run your business. Where are you?

Your game has a tremendous amount of backlash right now.

Your streamers are going to get tired of falsely telling people this game is 95% good. Their financial gain is going to run its course. Some are beginning to let their feelings fester now.

Your biggest defenders are going to reach their honeymoon phase as well. The more casual audience is going to reach this map system and throw in the towel. This is happening now.

Your 'GiT GuD'ers and "ItS aN eArLy AcCeSs'ers are sounding more and more like the boy who cried wolf every day. I was one of them for a few days myself.

But now, there's simply no way you took the 10+ years of experience you gained from PoE and channeled it into PoE2, with us in mind. You just didn't. This game is bad, and right now the last thing you ought to be doing is claiming vacation time.

Every core staff member should be in office. Updates should be presented. Want to have a conversation with anyone? Doesn't seem like it. Where are your interviews with members of the community?

GGG, it's been 11 days since your last announcement and if you intend to make it another 11, things will get really, really loud. I'm telling you, your streamers and influencers aren't far from letting it rip. Either they get tired of this game or their audience disappears because it got tired of this game.

Don't forget, you have pulled an Overwatch and let PoE1 stagnate at the same time. Weren't there only like 12 people working on PoE1, and you still had to skip a league?

This is an overarching statement on the game. There are so many specific problems that take too long to write out, and many build upon one another. Meaning your game is flawed from the ground up, there are no hotfixes for most of this.

For example, your intentional large map design is coupled with punishing choke points, PoE1 fast enemies, terrain which obscures vision, an aggressive amount of on death effects, etc. There is no patch for this. This is the fundamental design of your game, and it is wrong and bad. There is no reason you should be on vacation and not working right now to redesign this entirely. Unless you think this is good, in which case you better reallocate your resources back to PoE1 pretty soon because you aren't going to retain a player base here. You have a lot of yes men in the fanbase and they aren't going to steer you in the right direction. You need to rewrite every single map and replace the existing ones with better ones. Every. Single. One.

That's just one example of multiple issues creating a systemic flaw in the game.

I would hope you intend to open a dialogue pretty soon. For your sake. Man, these public figures aren't going to maintain a composure forever. And when they turn, or if their audience leaves them, they are going to turn on you. Maybe they already know things we don't but, considering your "vacation" I'm not so sure they do.

You are talking like this was a release... wake up you entitled troll, the world doesn't evolve around you.

they literally released a product to the public dec 8th. You live in a world outside reality
Wasn't a release, just a charity fund event named 'Paid vacation in New Zealand for 250 people'.

I got 400 hours and I'm no where near burnt out and I'm loving the game. Just started ssf for my 4th custom build character all my previous characters getting to 90 because I'm not trying to burn myself out on the endgame content though rather I'm trying to understand playstyles so when they do release more content and leagues I can create my own builds from scratch using the new content.
