You lose.
At the core it`s a 10/10 game.
Love the campaign, love the sounds, love the music, love everything about the BAREBONE of the game. However, once you`re in the endgame everything changes. You are forced to play meta builds. Even if you max out all of your resistances and have a good amount of ES/AR/EV and many other defensive skills/passives you still get one shot. Solution? Play one of the 4 meta builds. That`s it. No originality, no room for change. The situation is so bad that half of the players are playing as sorceress. GGG may think that nerfing sorc is the solution but that`s far from it. People play these builds because you kill everything before it has a chance to kill you and they are very fast at clearing all content. The Armour problem needs to be addressed cause armour feels like you`re not wearing any from T10 onward. My biggest problem with the game is not that you get one shot, my biggest problem with the game is that you lose everything on that map. Aaaaaall your investment. You lose all the mechanics and the bonuses on the node, and the waystone itself, all the items that you didn`t get to pick up. Aaaaaall gone because of one single lucky one shot. It is demoralising beyond belief and I don`t believe I can support this game for much longer. I don`t want to play common rarity maps cause you get nothing on them, or be scared of playing the mechanics cause I might lose xp and everything else on the map. FIX. THE. GAME. they are not even getting proper feedback imo
the only people bitching are the grinders who are bitching about the "end game" everyone else already left most people hated the early acts. where the real problems lie. but they wont get feedback cause those people left now its just all no lifers grinding end game for multiple hours a day and thats the only feedback they are getting.. bored no lifers already bored with end game Last edited by BrainVs#6980 on Dec 27, 2024, 12:35:08 PM

" You realize both can be a problem and those "no lifers" are the ones who overwhelmingly support the long term of the game though? They can fix the campaign for tourists AND make the endgame better. You don't have to pick just one. | |
I'm not really sure what was the point of adding the "if you die you lose the whole waystone" mechanic to the game. It seems unnecessarily punishing, and it feels very un-POE-like to have 6 portals open up for my map, but not have 6 chances to beat it.
I have been loving nearly every aspect of this game, but this one just really doesn't make sense to me, and it just feels BAD. I don't like feeling bad when I play PoE. I play PoE to feel good. Having these one-shot mechanics in the game while ALSO only giving players one attempt at completing a map is just cruel. Please GGG, let us not lose our waystones until we've spent all 6 portals. PLEASE! |

It's nothing, like week before you was losing waystone and the map, so you have to move different route. They are clueless.
On Probation Any%

" What are you talking about? The general opinion seems to be that the early acts are really good, lol. |

I quit the game in Cruel Act3 Apex of Filth. Act1-3 were great (overtuned but great) and some of the bosses are just annoying but none of the systems were engaging enough to continue playing. There was nothing to work towards.
Totally different feeling to PoE1 Last edited by GuiltyParty32#9913 on Dec 27, 2024, 1:35:44 PM

" I think I agree with what you're saying but you don't need to call people who don't religiously play the endgame every league "tourists." People who don't play endgame can have just as much love for this game as you, you know. |

" General opinion is that acts 2 and 3 are drawn out. Act 1 feels like the only fully fleshed out act that has good pacing. Act 2 can literally be cut in half and you can split act 3 into two entirely separate acts (past and present) that how long it is. Last edited by xpose#1651 on Dec 27, 2024, 2:11:47 PM

poe1 also had the spiky one shot problem but it is way worse in poe2, In the case of warrior class I think because they fubared the way armor works combined with more difficult to get res capped and the problem of how slow the class moves and plays (whereas the enemies are even faster than in poe1)
When GGG said they "fixed melee" there was no bigger lie. Melee is the least viable least effective and weakest class archetype in the game, this is the case because the passive tree and the skills for melee do not compensate for the innate drawbacks of melee, and they added new difficulties that especially impact melee the most (on death effects and bullshit no-hit ascendancy trial mechanics) |
