A manifesto clarifying the direction you want PoE2 to take would be much appreciated.
At this stage no one understands the game is supposed to be slow paced and tactical (the campaign) or one-shot endgame bosses and trash screen-wide packs (current endgame).

Please tell us what you want this game to be, so we can decide if this is for us or not.

what you just said is all ive ever heard as the intended path of the game from GGG to me?

But I do see that one of us is willing to see this from both sides, acts vs endgame, while the other wants all or nothing

Oh don't get me wrong, I appreciate you trying to see both sides very much.

Yes we indeed want different things, but I don't think you're wrong.

Opinions on PoE2 direction is very divisive, some want PoE1 only, some want PoE2 only, some are ok with the middle point. Imo, they all have upsides and downsides, I don't think any of them are wrong.

Of course I'll vote for what I personally like, same as everyone.
But, regardless of whichever way GGG go, I believe PoE2 will be very successful.
Maybe it won't be my game, but I'm sure it'll be great game.

For me personally its pretty clear.
If PoE2 becomes PoE1 I'll just keep playing D4 and abandon PoE.
If PoE2 manages to embrace the impactful, strategic fights introduced in the campaign and manages to carry this over into actually interesting endgame, then I'll come back to play it for many seasons.

I want to see interesting bosses and fights, where I use multiple different skills and where there is time to ramp up damage and deliver mighty blows. Not that screen-flicker, one-button, speed-farming slay festival I'm used to from D4 endgame.

Listen to this guy. He looks at the very root.

I'm with you here, though I doubt they can make it. Game starts to fall apart even in late A3 already because of more and more tree nodes/gems access (not even talking about gear...). Powercreep goes almost progressively at this moment.

I'm with you too. Although i didn't liked Diablo 4, i love the slow pace of PoE2 campaign, maybe because most of the bosses feels like a true challenge, which you have to pay attention and read your enemie to look for a window to counter.

It is fundamently what From Software does with their games.
+1 OP

Reaching Zarokh fight was quite a breath of fresh. Hope they add more fights like him.

acts vs endgame

That's the thing. Nobody who played POE1 gave a shit about acts. It was just a means to the endgame and nothing more. Trying to make what boils down to the tutorial relevant is just so illogical. People in here are literally saying you should just reroll something new until they drop new content. That sounds so absurd to people who had a strong polished game for years.

It's not that POE2 isn't meant for POE1 players, it's that it's hard to tell who it is for at all...
