im done this sxxt

This game punishes you for everything.

There is NO reward at end game.

Examples:

End game is about maps right? This game punishes you for trying to roll good maps (lose currency in the process).

It punishes you when you run out of maps (you get a feeling of dread when you run out of level 70+ maps).

This game punishes you with -15% exp penalty! Lose hours of hard work due to what? Desync?

This game punishes you for crafting/gambling. Try to get a 5L and use 300 fusings?

Fusings should be called defusings. Because I've managed to get 0 links many MANY times. How stupid is that? Use 300 fusings and end up with a 0 link. WoW.

There is no reward at end game.

At least diablo realised this by hanging a carrot in front of players with paragon system.

Why can't GGG realise that end game is mean't to be fun. And NOT WORK?
The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG
I tried NeverWinter and got bored right out of the gate. I didn't play long enough to see what could be different but it was sad to be bored out of the gate like that =/
What end-game? I tend to get bored of characters around level 50 and start a new one, or take part in a race.

What people are calling end-game, being Maps, is a tagged-on extra challenge for people who feel that Merciless Act 3 is not a good 'ending' for them. It's certainly not a story ending, and everyone knows that as well, given that Act3X will likely conclude the current story with Dominus.

So if you don't like the end-game, change your idea of end-game.

Or leave and wait for that 'end-game' to be improved (as it will be), based on the feedback of people who had more genuine concern for the game than those who left.

...But this I say to the negative nancies: don't pretend that your constant whining is 'concern' for the game, or the fact that you quit the game and became a forum troll is in any way 'helping'.

It isn't.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

So much this.

I don't see how people complain about endgame in a game that isn't finished yet..not even by a long shot.

And still, I find this endgame a lot more enjoyable than running Baal, Meph and so on endlessly with absolutely no difficulty for years. Or running Act 3 Inferno. I don't get people, but that does not preoccupy me cause I know most of them are trolling kids or just stupid.
Neverwinter is fucking terrible. PWE is the greediest fucking company and NWO doesn not deserve to touch the D&D label.

PS couching pro-NW messages in 'I quit' threads will not keep them out of the Off Topic board. ;)

I'm not quite sure what 'on topic' is right now (...is there a topic still?) but it's not NW. So...yeah. Keep the NW talk to the existing thread/s on it in the OT please.

On the other hand, maybe it's the fact that the boundary between the MMO and the ARPG continues to dissolve overall, with many people failing to even see a difference.

Well PoE can be a mmo if everything was not instanced separately... and if there was a more open world. It's not like MMOs are a strict genre. A game can be both an action RPG and a mmo if it meets both definitions.

Cutthroat league is the closest PoE comes to being a mmo.

Every Gran Turismo was a masterpiece of game development. PoE to Gran Turismo is like Minesweeper to PoE.
