Do you think this game was a scam to get funding from Tencent and do almost nothing?

No wonder Chris Wilson disappeared.
5 years for 3 acts of mediocrity and reskin of poe1 in the end.
They also used development of poe2 as an excuse for some of the worst leagues in poe1.
What's the excuse for poe2?

PoE2 is pretty good. Looking forward to see them improve it even further. I appreciate pretty much all of the new ideas except for the trials, because they are old bad PoE1 ideas.

What's good exactly man? Reskinned poe1 in endgame with 2% of the features? Maps that feel like they were made for console?

its a good game its already got better combat than any other ARPG IMO there's plenty that needs adjusting, especially melee but its EA so thats a given.

Your title is conspiratorial and I don't agree with anything you're saying here and I can't be more honest and accurate in describing what I think of such notions without getting my post edited by support even though I truly think being bluntly honest here is 100% merited.

Oh also Settlers might be the consensus best league in POE history, its certainly more well reviewed than any I can recall outside perhaps Perandus. and I've seen lots of community members describe the state of POE currently as the best its ever been (which I agree with overall, they mostly fixed melee after 11 years so it would be hard not to) some of the most Banger leagues have happened over the last couple years while they had reportedly SEVEN PEOPLE ON LEAGUES by GGG's own words. Thats impressive tbh.

So yeah overall can't say that I find a lot of truth in your narrative. You don't like POE2 for some very non specific reasons you haven't really articulated, so maybe instead of conspiracy theory's just say you don't like it? Games that try to make everyone happy tend to make no one happy.

Most complains I see on these forums are emotionnally charged, I would suggest these people to take some air and take it easy.

Threads like these are the reason no one takes gamers tm seriously. Like holy crap the entitlement, the hyperbole, the persecution complexes.

Funny the backlash here already, when one could argue that getting people to pay for a beta or EA and do their testing for them is a type of scam, and that all EA's asking for money are a scam. In saying that I paid for closed beta in the original game, but that was when GGG was really in its infancy and basically a start up.

I am glad I didn't pay into this though, as much as I am liking it in many ways, other aspects not so much. I am just hoping the POE1 content in this EA is just a temporary filler before the full game is released with its own new mechanics, I think they just threw in some of the end game stuff to give people something to do for now.

There is more content in this game on early access than Last Epoch + Diablo 4 combined.

King of the Mist,
Olroth expedition,
Arbiter - Pinnacle boss.

Main points of work that they need to address.

3 more acts
2 more trials (will be different)
12 more classes (or 18)
more items, more events/leagues
rarity fix/adjustment
loot/craft adjustment
more skill gems/support gems


bugfixes/optimization

the biggest rework needed is with the Atlas mapping, it is absolutely terrible going around through 10 bad maps, to light 5 lighthouses, to juice few maps, and you cannot even select or favorite the map, some maps layouts are obnoxious bad/impossible to farm
