We have needed this for almost 12 years.

GGG just doesn't want to do it. Don't know why.

Only reasonable thing I have seen suggested that sort of makes sense is shareholder profit board stuff. Like if there's a centralized AH, people no longer "visit" other players or their hideouts, and MTX values go down. which of course means... less $$$.

But the question is, do they lose more overall long run due to people just up and quitting altogether that cant stand the trade site. Would love to know if someone has taken a crack at that math in their board room yet.

didn't play diablo 3 at launch right here
Actually I did, and I am really not too sure how your hatred of real money AH is leading you to spam post "no" in all the threads about people wanting something better than trade site in poe. I'm glad you seem to be the minority here, or at least less vocal overall.
This must be at the end of GGG's priority queue, just like fixing the Blood Mage, after all, PoE players have already gotten used to it, it's been 10 years with this system, we can deal with a game with an outdated trading system and incapable of put a native filter in the game.

They removed the real money AH first, and then later fully removed the AH, because it was negatively effecting the game.

You saw the same effects in the last epoch trade league, where anything but top 1% loot was worthless within weeks. Being able to trade, in an annoying way, for 1ex upgrades just to run into a wall where now you need 1 div upgrades to make any further progress already has negative effects on the game, that I believe are outweighed by being able to flip high value items you don't need yourself. Removing all friction from trade and automating the process would only empower trade manipulators, devalue loot further, and push everyone back to the poe1 mindset of hording all your orbs so you can flip it for upgrades.

They are correct. It ruins games.

Like really if you really think an automated AH will stop market manipulation, there's a billion MMOs out there that can show you thats not true. Its how I made my money in EVE, its how I made my money in FFXI, its how I made my money in WOW. Automated systems are easier to exploit, not harder.
trading is fine
The truth is that we need a house to be auctioned.
GGG you can take the idea as in last epoch that what you buy in the house is auctioned can not be resold, so the trade is not broken.

I am new to Poe2 and the truth that dealing with the web and whispers that no one answers is annoying.

An in-game interface for trade would be nice, just cut the hassle that is to go to a third party website to make a trade.

Is gamebreaking having to go to a site, go back to game whisper someone to make a trade.

The stash tabs are already flagged to be visible and enable trade, just put it in-game and a buy out engine that will make the transaction occur via in-game mail.

It will let people play without interruption.

I gave up on trade league because we spent more time waiting someone to respond a whisper than playing the game.

There are plenty of ways to improve trade that wouldn't ruin the game. GGG is just like

they've done several things over the years actually, and they've all been positive, including the currency exchange. The effect full, automated markets have on games is not an abstract theory, games have had them for 3 decades and the effects are observable by anyone with eyes.

For some games, the positives outweigh the negatives. For loot games, its death. You're welcome to name a single loot game with an AH that hasn't experienced downward pressures on the rest of the game. I'll wait.
