We need in game trading house. in 2024 the website just doesnt cut it.

We really need in game trading I've had so many issues linking my account and getting messages to even work i hate that this cannot be done in game.

I understand it being the way it was in the first game but this is suppose to be a triple a game and trading seems to be a big part of end game build and encourages the economy for it to not exist in game seems kind of crazy I'm hoping before final release wee have something better than the website.

please GGG look into this

I have been saying this for years.

It was done in Diablo 3. It can be done here. It should be done here.

So tried of dealing with the trade website.

People don't respond. They respond and say they priced it wrong. They respond and say it's a different price (they intentional priced it lower than what they want to generate whispers). They price things to manipulate the market. They take forever and drag their feet trading with you. Loading screens to go from zone to zone. Failed to join instance. Interrupting game play to go fulfill an incoming request to buy something.

The list of downsides goes on and on as far as the trade site is concerned.

In game auction house for all items should be available from level one on all characters.
+1
They could easily expand the Currency Exchange to also allow items to be traded with a gold cost for it. That would solve all the issues with trade being so bad atm
I'm dipping my toe into buying things from other people. It usually goes OK.

I'm absolutely not interested in selling things to other people. Seems like a lot of pressure and hassle.

Maybe if someone could buy things directly from my stash tabs, it would be better.
Agreed. Trade site is a mostly awful experience and eats up far too many hours of my gaming time just trying to get a response.
no. Wasting your time is the point, easy trade kills ARPGs. Currency exchange is good but anything deeper completely short circuits what these games are about. You already see the effects of trades downward pressure on loot value to individual players, even with the current friction around it. Did y'all not play diablo 3 vanilla? It was fucking terrible, and a large part of it was having to balance loot rates around convenient trade. Even after they removed the RMAH it was terrible.

We have needed this for almost 12 years.

GGG just doesn't want to do it. Don't know why.

Because they played diablo 3 like everyone else who was sentient at the start of the 2010s

Only reasonable thing I have seen suggested that sort of makes sense is shareholder profit board stuff. Like if there's a centralized AH, people no longer "visit" other players or their hideouts, and MTX values go down. which of course means... less $$$.

But the question is, do they lose more overall long run due to people just up and quitting altogether that cant stand the trade site. Would love to know if someone has taken a crack at that math in their board room yet.

The thing they did in diablo 3 then removed because they recognized it was ruining the game and devaluing just killing things for loot? The thing that ruined the game? The thing that doesn't exist anymore, because it ruined the game?

No
