Why POE2 is dying

You, like some people here, seems to think profit = no quality and its bad. When in reality a few things can exist at the same time.

In reality, quality and long-term profit usually go together.

I failed to see how your reply is related to racism and the suggestion brought forward by the previous posts which suggest the sole purpose to profit is bad.

You can create quality product with short term goal in mind. The opposite can be true too, you can create rubbish for short term goals.

"Usually" is not a correlation. It is a variable. That is reality.

Both Baldur gate 3 and Zelda are made with profit in mind, at the same time, a quality product. These factors are not exclusive from each others.

Then again, to expect logical conversation is hard because of this inability to get away from the narrative profit = bad. Calling these kind of thinking childish isn't harsh.

It seems you can't get the idea that games made with the only and first goal just to grab money are always (or almost always) bad. First goal should always be GAME first and profit - something that comes after. Only in this variant you can get both.

Ofc devs plan their finances. But in these 2 cases making a good game was the goal - not! the money. If this doesn't fit into you "logic", go read Larian director interviews. For him all the money they get is just a tool to make still better (next) games. This is how they keep making games since the very start. Goal: make a good game. Earned smth? Good - more resources to make still better next game.

You failed to realize the fallacy in your proclamation. That is not correlation. And of course your two examples shows how little you understood the irony in your proclamation....

Let me make it simple for you to understand. Let's make something profitable. Let's make sure it is good enough to be profitable.

Does it twist your groin that these two can be of different orders?

And of course you failed to address the racism. Remember that always. Are you going to address the racism?
