Witch Ascendancies Suck!

You've got one ascendancy that drains your health and kills you, and the other ascendancy that burns you and kills you and is only good for fire skills. If the third ascendancy for witch is necro then theyve killed the witch. There is no ascendancy that does extra spell damage without killing you. Its beyond stupid.

Witch is supposed to be about curses and magic. Not killing your self.

Truly, must be why Infernalist is so popular, especially in HC.

Reeks of skill issue.

Have you actualy had a look at the Infernalist tree? Theres no skills on it that boost any sort of magic. The only reason why its more popular is because the other ascendacy uses your HEALTH as your mana and straight up kills you when you cast spells.

Bro... I'm literally in t15+ maps as an Infernalist...

I agree they suck, but for different reasons.


Infernalist is not my style, but she gets ways to mitigate or skip the suicidal abilities.

Blood Mage is more up my alley but she only gets a stupid mini-game of picking up heal orbs to mitigate her HP cost and is forced to take the HP cost node, which together with micro-managing minions and constantly having to deal with enemies that ignore your minions, just turns the whole playstyle into a fumbly mess.


I am hoping for the 3rd ascendancy to be something more fitting both thematically and mechanically, like Lich Mage with powerful auras maybe.

Have you looked at the sorc? The witch seems like it will be mostly chaos/minion focused... altho in true PoE style you don't have to play it that way. The infernalist is one of if not the strongest ascendancy for getting to endgame easy... Like seriously. Personally i found it kind of dull so i swapped to a different class but it's still REALLY powerful.

+6 all spell and ~1000% increased spell damage when stacked, which can be built around?

Have a minion that apply permanent ignite aura on enemies so your shock will also be permanent with Stormfire support? and he also take 20% of the damage for you?

What about 30% MORE critical damage bonus?

Can go Low life to utilize Pain Attunement for even more critical damage, or maybe Rise of the Pheonix for maximum fire res which she also take other elemental as?

Her small ascendancy node give %max life which is really hard to find in PoE2?

Have damage taken conversion which make your armor more effective?

Also give max spirit, which is really useful for every build not just lightning?
