This is the only game with that issue because enabling a Auction House for Items like they did for Currency would actually eliminate their HideOut MTX sales nobody would be buying hide out MTX at that point.

Please explain how implementing a Player to Player item trading mechanic will affect MTX sales?

I don't understand the relationship.

Can we trade MTX items, like hideout widgets and stash tabs etc in such an item trading interface?

It won't, but it will affect bots and then welcome to world of warcraft 2 Trading is fine, big trades go bigga.

There should be proper (automatic) AH or nothing.

Also, from what I can see PoE2 trading community is one of the worst.

Done bunch of trading in Warframe that has similar trading (only for MTX currency), but:
(stopped playing few years ago so it may be different now)

- Their trading website (3rd party) is next level compared to clunky PoE one.
- (almost) Everyone keeps list/delist/update status manually up to date so ppl won't waste time.
- Listed price never changed ... When it happens is mostly down or they add something extra for the same price -- especially when encountering new players.

Instead, trying to copy 20+ year old systems they should have also taken inspiration from the current games with systems players actually like and use.

As they can't "fix" community they can at least "borrow" AH idea from (example) Guild Wars 2 that also has global AH that works and a decent feature set.

I won't even be against switching trading to MTX currency only considering its F2P. Everything is better than the current "Korean" P2W number of different currencies.

One good thing about the influx of new players is the influx of demands for an AH

yeah, they want poe to be like "other games", forgetting why they didn't play these other games anymore.

or they know their ways with scripts and tools and think they will profit from illegal automatisation.

if ggg ever implements a item auction house, do you think they will like that they will have to wait 5 days for the auction to end?

Uhh... people very much play those other games.

Which is why they know they have an AH....

And yes, being like "other games" means bringing their game into the 20th century instead of dwelling in the past like this website still being where you have to create an account, like not having authentication servers on Steam, like not having player data in the Steam cloud, like not having trading/item searches for trade in-game, etc. etc. etc.

I started to report every single trader for scamming, who doesn't answer (unless he sets afk/dnd message, but tbh I haven't seen a single one), hoping GGG does something about it.

You risk a suspension/ban for false reporting.

Just suck it up

People like you are exactly the problem with trading as it stands.

Agreed.
Instant trading without player to player sounds good but it would just be bots sniping items 24/7

yeah, youre right. once upon a time, ggg's target group were pc players who had to know alot about computers and how you manage your personal data so mega coorporations couldn't profile you.

at that time we also had more players being able to see game elements from the developers point of view.
---
since ggg supported the joystick folks, things went downhill. many of those are challenge averse, just out for fun.... their battle cry is "game devs are not respecting their time", it's hilarious.

one question: if ggg would use steam to save user data, they would have to use it exclusively and valve would take a 30% cut on ALL user support with the option of having the cut being increased when valve decides to increase their profits.

who in the world would do that? by using steam you basically kill good games cause valve's greedy hands prefer big companies when they sell their users to the game creators.

---

they could move the trading site ingame but why? having it on a second monitor is so much more comfortable.
also it allows me to check prices in situations where i can't run games.
