Trading is Awful

So, I have about 1000 hours in PoE1 and trading was pretty bad, but I feel like its even worse in PoE2. Granted, I haven't played much PoE1 in awhile so I can't say for sure how it compares these days. Still, trading needs to change.

I have spent the entire day messaging hundreds of players while using live search on the trading site. I would click the message button within seconds of it appearing. And not a single person responded to me, out of the hundreds I messaged. Not one person responded, not even saying "No thanks". I even attempted to chat with several of them in attempts to break out of the loop or even offering double the price they listed the item. I did this for about 14 hours off and on. This isn't fun. This isn't playing the game. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I know GGG's position on an Auction House but something needs to be done. With how bad trading is, every league may as well just be Solo Self Found, because this is unfun.

I started to report every single trader for scamming, who doesn't answer (unless he sets afk/dnd message, but tbh I haven't seen a single one), hoping GGG does something about it.

I might start doing this. Several times I would watch a post show up, I'd message them, they'd ignore me and put it up for higher. I'd message them again and they would ignore me again and would put it up again for even higher.

I can give the benefit of the doubt if they just put it up for the wrong price, but I'm not gonna play games with someone who's going to constantly ignore me.
What happens a lot though is this; people put up an item for far too little and get instaspammed by dozens of people who set up a Live search. I myself do this too.

In most cases where the item has been on the trade website for a couple of days I get a response, but it's still way worse than in PoE1. I expect this is because of all the new players.
There should be proper (automatic) AH or nothing. This is just one (small) step removed from grinder MMO "player" shop scams and few decades out of date.
pssst, a secret:

the game doesn't really want you to trade, especially not mass trade.

trading is probably seen as a last resort if you can't progress without other people's items.

One good thing about the influx of new players is the influx of demands for an AH

yeah, they want poe to be like "other games", forgetting why they didn't play these other games anymore.

or they know their ways with scripts and tools and think they will profit from illegal automatisation.

if ggg ever implements a item auction house, do you think they will like that they will have to wait 5 days for the auction to end?

You want me to respond to your message?

The best is the price fixing scammers the fact that almost nothing is ever for sale it's all a scam to get you to list your item for a lower price.

This is the only game with that issue because enabling a Auction House for Items like they did for Currency would actually eliminate their HideOut MTX sales nobody would be buying hide out MTX at that point.

Tencent stepped in after they made huge losses in MTX hideout when currency trading was automated with an Auction House.

Jonathan wan'ts to put in an Auction House he said so himself and won't because top management at Tencent wan'ts to keep their cash cow going.

Charging for a game and putting in bad design to promote cosmetics if just as bad as Blizzard, ooh how GGG has fallen.
